Here are some more eminent film personalities who talk about their favourite romantic flicks:

Vikram Bhatt: Favourite romantic films? "Mughal-E-Azam" for sure! "Qayamat se Qayamat Tak"... the best adaptation of Romeo & Juliet... love between two innocent people from warring families spells doom for their togetherness. But they enjoy whatever time they have together. "Gadar" is a great romantic drama.

Dino Morea: The ultimate romantic films for me are "Notting Hill", "Pretty Woman", "Ghost" and "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin".

Ekta Kapoor: It will have to be "Maine Pyar Kiya" and "Love Story", not the Hindi, the English one.

Sammir Dattani: To me "Titanic" would always remain the most intensely romantic experience. I love it for the Leonardo DiCaprio-Kate Winslet chemistry and for awakening romantic dreams within myself... but my favourite love story is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Devdas". I love Raj Kapoor's "Bobby". And I had a full-blown crush on Dimpleji when I acted with her in "Pyaar Mein Twist".

Nakul Vaid: My favourite romantic film is "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam"... a very idealistic and a sensitive film which touches you. You want to be in a love story like this one.

Sameera Reddy: I love "Splash" because love has no boundaries, "Il Postino" because it's Pablo Neruda's poetry set in Italy, "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" because it evokes the feeling of true love and "Pakeezah" because it evokes nostalgic love.

Riteish Deshmukh: DDLJ - it evoked a desire to fall in love, "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" - it displayed a maturity in dealing with love (the scene between Shah Rukh and Kajol when they meet after eight years was superb), and "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" - it said love was far superior when you put your loved one's feelings before your own own.

Adnan Sami: "Mughal-E-Azam", "Pakeezah", "Devdas" (both the Bimal Roy and Sanjay Bhansali versions) and "Umrao Jaan".

Arjun Sablok: "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" - the director's passion and honesty to his work is as powerful as the love between the lead pair. "Lamhe" for making me believe love doesn't last for one moment but forever. "Masoom" is one of the most beautiful love stories told and felt. "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" - performances and music were the highlights, and there were moments that taught us how to let go of the one we love.

Apoorva Lakhia: I guess it will have to be Yash Chopra's "Lamhe". It reminds me of my favourite book "Love In The Times Of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the story of one man's struggle yearning to find true love over a long period of time.

Sujoy Ghosh: My favourite romantic films are Jerry Zucker's "Ghost", Amitabh Bachchan-Raakhee track in "Kala Patthar", Shah Rukh-Aishwarya track in "Mohabbatein" and Amitabh-Jaya (Bachchan) track in "Sholay". All these gave a lot of dignity respect and faith to the spirit of love. I'd love to achieve this level of love in life and in my films.

Subhash Ghai: My favourite romantic film will have to be "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" - a daughter's search for her father's lost love. It was told brilliantly by Karan Johar who's my favourite filmmaker from the 1990s.

Mahesh Bhatt: It has to be David Lean's "Doctor Zhivago". It is an intimate tale of forbidden love set against the backdrop of a country at war, a film that refuses to wither with time.

Aftab Shivdasani: "Silsila" ... for the incredible chemistry between the principal characters and DDLJ because of the magical chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and the director's sensitivity in capturing that chemistry.

Ananth Mahadevan: "Mughal-E-Azam" for its stately rebellion, "Madhumati" for its love-never-dies feeling, "Abhimaan" for the way love overcame human frailties and of course Guru Dutt's "Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam" and "Kaagaz Ke Phool" for a love that was considered taboo.

Smriti Irani: DDLJ is an all-time favourite - amazing romantic moments great star-cast and lovely songs.

Ram Gopal Varma: I have no favourite romantic films. I don't like romantic films.
