Ashwini Kalsekar says yes

Aswini Kalsekar says yes to a possible comeback as a senior officer in some episodes, according to a friend i know. Bp singh had offered her once in 2007 and again in 2009. She might come back as our Senior Inspector Asha in some episodes where she will help in some national cases... her comeback is being planned and she will make her re-entry sometym in 2010-2011...

I hope they explain the reason of her sudden departure because I think she left CID because she had to or was forced to because they had shown Anjalika and Asha together on the title track, which means she had no plans of leaving. O MY GOD, is this for real. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear about the possibility, I don't know how true this news it but just the possibility of it happening makes me very happy. And why few episodes yaar, Asha comeback forever please. I don't want to loose you again.

This week they showed a couple of early 2000 cases and what a bliss its been to see meri pyari Asha. I miss Sudhakar too.

I never understood why she suddenly vanished. Just like they mentioned Dr Wagle being transferred they could have just mentioned something similar for Asha. I am amazed that even after working with Asha and Sudhakar for 6 yrs and more, CID Team is never shown talking about / remembering them. Even Sudhakar suddenly vanished, no proper exit.

I think probably because their decision to leave CID was sudden, especially Asha's. I think Ashwini Kalsekar would have continued to work on CID because she was shown with Dr. Anjalika, which means she had no intention of leaving the show. Something made her leave.

Now just replace that Anjalika with Dr Niyati and you have a perfect CID team ready. Its sad Asha never worked with Niyati, I would have loved to see their interaction, both being such different strong personalities.

About Sudhakar, I keep seeing him in small roles in movies, the last I recollect is Viruddh in which he played a disgusting Police Officer.

Correction, Dr Niyati's first appearance was in 2003 when Asha was part of the team. She left in Feb 2004. Dr. Niyati appeared in two cases then - THE CASE OF NAILING THE SUSPECT and THE CASE OF THE HORRIFYING VIRUS. I can't seem to recollect. Did they have any scenes together?

In The Case of Nailing The Suspect, they did. I'm not so sure about the other one, although I think they did. Yes, when ACP threatens Niyati to shoot her if she doesn't give Sudhakar the antidote, Asha was present.

Imagine three senior inspectors abhi, daya and asha and the acp working together with their juniors vivek, tasha and freddy. That would be totally awesome!! The relationship between tasha and asha should be respectful.Not like muskaan and devyana.
I also wish niyati would come back and work in collaboration with salunkhe and tarika as their assistant.
