If you do not know of Simon Singh ... here's your chance!
If you do not know what Simon Singh has had to endure ... here's your chance!
If you've not read his books ... here's your chance! Pertinent to this event: "Trick or Treatment" ...
I encourage all who have not yet read it ... to please do ...

Thanks interesting looks like the whole thing cost a bomb to defend
A science writer has won the right to rely on the defence of fair comment in a libel action, in a landmark ruling at the Court of Appeal.

So Krystal ji not being allowed to make a comment seems like the restriction of Freedom of Speech.
If comments are not politically sensitive most countries may allow it. For such matters to be published or broadcast the media is needed; in some countries like Singapore, the Government controls or has a say over the mass media, the Local Radio, TV and Newspapers. Eye is also kept on what is published by foreign publications. There is good and bad in this. Generally more good than bad if the Govt is good.

Kudos for your polysyllabic answers ... but, who is to be the ultimate arbiter of even the 'politically sensitive' much less 'good govt'? Any member of an opposition worth his/her salt, would refute given the opportunity - no?
For an interesting discussion from an Australian barrister's perspective, read on (if you so choose of course) ...

She is someone whom we all know. We cannot blame her as things are too quiet and nice here.
so a bit of controversy is needed I guess.
You are too nice a person to dirty your hands.

Dear Dr. Leakey,
I believe what we have on hand should shake up the hallowed halls of physical anthropology with a magnitude that is sure to overwhelm any seismometer (Richter, roll over in your grave)! At first, I mistook the denizens of this forum to be homo sapiens who were either suffering brain lesions, or given their age had mostly unmyelinated brains - now known to be the cause behind neurological misfiring.
Closer examination - as evidenced by the virtually non-existent language and reasoning skills - however, shows quite unequivocally, that hominid migration from the savannah ocurred much earlier than initially thought ... australopithecines are in our midst ... alive and well ... which particular species remains to be established ... afarensis? africanus? robustus? boisei? This might also go a long way in determining if these individuals are representative of the genus Paranthropus (would inter-species mating be possible - sterile offspring notwithstanding?)!!
As you see - a veritable treasure-trove for doctoral work in the field exists ... I hope you will avail of this unparalleled opportunity at the earliest possible ...
