TV actor Ali Merchant now wants to return to his lover boy image. He plays a bad boy Rishi in Imagine TV's Do Hanso Ka Joda, but the actor says he is desperate to get back to his old image.

TV actor Ali Merchant now wants to return to his lover boy image. He plays a bad boy Rishi in Imagine TV's Do Hanso Ka Joda, but the actor says he is desperate to get back to his old image.
Ali Merchant spoke in a recent interview, "I am keen to play the chocolate boy again in the show. That's what I enjoy most and even my fans like me for that. Rishi's character is not completely negative. It has shades of grey. Soon he'll get back to his charming self."
According to him people still love his character Rituraj in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and he said, "Recently in Delhi, a group of girls addressed me as Rituraj and even kissed me on the cheek. That was really special and this means audience haven't yet forgotten the lovable and caring Rituraj, which was completely a romantic character so I am hoping that very soon I will get a role which is romantic."
Further when asked him about his equation with Sara Khan he said, "Girls have expressed an interest in me but it was Sara's innocence and honesty that attracted me to her."
