After having worked in the film 'London Dreams,' the couple, viz. Salman Khan and Asin had been on quite good terms, in spite of the film not doing so well at the Box office.
After that, it was director Annes Bazmee, who had an eye for the hunk Salman Khan to be cast in his next project, who announced that a remake of the Telegu film 'Ready' was on the cards. This was reportedly finalized, and then, on Salman's recommendations, it was Asin, who was finalized for the lead role to star opposite Salman himself.
Asin, who is on top of the world, is reportedly very happy. She had started signing films down south, as there were no major offers coming her way from bollyland. But, with this massive film, she has managed to jump right back into the limelight of bollywood heroines.
Asin, who had her debut film 'Ghajini', with Aamir Khan had tasted success bang on, as the film had been a super hit. She had soon bagged another film with Salman Khan, but that film, 'London Dreams', had not been such a success. Thus, she had no such offers coming her way. Now, with this film the actress has gained her popularity amongst the bollywood circles again. Reportedly, she was chosen over Deepika Padukone, who was supposed to do the film initially.
