Anyway to business..Sidma relationship started with an immature edge- immaturity with a passion. We saw them doing all kinds of juvenile revenge plans and poof came the twist.Ridhima coming to know the truth about Arman turned her crazy and Sid into this I-will-stand-by-you persona. He became her protector and her friend-The person who supported her crazy schemes and when dejected she fell into pieces,he picked her up and nursed her back. She gave him no brownie points for that and he never asked for gratitude. That was phase 1 of sidma for me.
Moving on came the phase when Sid began to respect her and admire her.The romantic notions,if at all there, were fleeting which passed off in a moment. She began to come to terms with him too- a person who was there standing by her side as she sought to find her love.
Then came the turbulent side-when Ridhima, being Ridhima turned jumped to conclusions and blamed Sid.We still saw an understanding Sid and an unreasonable and quite selfish Ridhima who could not see past her.The rape fiasco-the decision to marry him-the death-is -better-than-you stance, the indifferent attitude she displayed were all part of this.
The poison and her attitude finally drove Sid off his patient mode-and a new Sid emerged. One that blamed her selfishness who saw through Ridhima's act of perfection. He was hurting,as he was marrying someone who could never be his,who was selfish enough to have no qualms about hurting anyone-who had spurned every attempt at befriending her.We saw a Sid who was normal who was still only a human.
Through the stages we have seen Sid;s character mature up really well. From a naughty boy who made faces at seniors played with a stethoscope-Sid became a man worthy of respect. In his intial days with Ridhima we saw a slightly intense side of his immaturity. But as he saw her pain-he became a person whose middle name was compassion.Through his marriage and the next fiasco he was a vengeful man but with an active guilt consciousness. His dealing with Ridhima post her confessions has been that of a man too-someone who handled her with precision. And now as he send his wife to meet the man she so deeply loves he has become a man worthy of respect.Someone who has the insight of the consequences of his decisions and who knows how this has to Ridhima's choice. The compassion he shows is still there. But the main beauty is that he is still human. He still wants to keep her for himself ,he still is hurting at it but he let her go.I have loved how CVs have shown so many beautiful shades of SID
Moving on to Ridhima-Honestly I never liked Ridhima in my life. She was way too confusing for me.And pre-marriage Ridhima was in full-fledged true colors. After Sid started being cruel to her and she decided to give the marriage a chance we saw a change in her character(after 3 whole years of unreasonableness) -Ridhima for once started looking beyond herself. She started to understand that every decision has its consequences. She finally saw how much her parents love her-and I think the catalyst was Sid's indifference.Ridhima has always found someone or other to support her unreasonableness. But as Sid moved away she realised what Sid have become for her-her anchor as she fought the turbulent waters of insanity and desperation. In her darkest days he was a small spot of light in her horizon.
She matured with dealing with him as well-developing shades I didnt know was possible in her.
So once again they both grew so beautifully-A great work on part of CVS.My applause to them.
