The same woman who once scorned Anandi for her innocent defiance of rituals and traditions is today on her knees praying to god for his mercy. Dadisa, who although has a tough exterior turned out to be a mellow grandmother on the inside as she saw little Anandi in a state of coma after being shot trying to save Jagdish.
This mahayagya will be spanning a duration of an entire day and an entire night. The mahayagya is attended by all of Anandi's family members including Sugna and her in laws. But that's not all, little Anandi also happens to be the darling of the village and everyone from the village including her best friend Phuli, her school principal and teachers, the village sarpanch and the elders, everyone attends the mahayagya to pray for Anandi's recovery.
No one had ever thought Dadisa was capable of so much love and that too for a grand daughter in law. Her genuine concern for Anandi is rather touching. Her belief that a mahayagya is sure to revive her dying Anandi shows that she is willing to go the extra mile to see Anandi's lifeless body move again.
Do join Dadisa and Anandi's family in praying for her speedy recovery. It's been a while since we heard our little 'beendni' laugh a hearty life. We miss her and her wide eyed questions. We sincerely hope Dadisa's prayers are answered. For once we're on Dadisa's team, cheering Anandi.
