The Grand Master.

Since last season I have always wondered why MD is the Grand Master, do not get me wrong by any means, I respect him and am a fan. What I am confused about is, being a GM of a dance competition should mean that he/she has MORE knowledge, MORE experience, and MORE understanding of dance then the Masters no? He/She should possess judgement which surpasses that of the masters and be able to aptly make choices which he/she can defend. I feel that the GM should be required so give justification as to why he made the decisions he did, that way, everyone; meaning the audience, the contestants and the masters, can understand the basis of his choice, and not be left hanging. I mean, shouldn't everyone being eliminated know why, and shouldn't the masters be giving an explanation as to why their contestant got booted? It just would make more sense. No?
