Manisha and her friend are walking and her friend ( who doesn't know Manisha's real name and thinks it is Ruby ) says that it is so nice to be walking in such a nice weather, warm sun, with a hangover and eating icecream. She suddenly asks as to who Manisha is. A stunned Manisha drops the icecream and tells her that she doesn't know any Manisha. Her friend tells her that yesterday night when you were in nasha and you took pity on those 2 freaks, you mentioned Manisha's name. Is she related to you by any chance? Manisha is totally panicked and tells her friend that she doesn't know any Manisha, she has no family, just her friends. She doesn't want to bring up the past because she believes in only living in the present. She warns her friend not to mention this topic again. Her surprised friend tells her to relax and says she won't. They continue walking and pass by Chandini and Amy who don't notice them.
Amy tells Chandini that she has a bright idea of putting up Manisha's poster outside the club so that somebody can notice it and give them some information about Manisha. Chandini is reluctant because she doesn't want Manisha's name to be badnaam, but Amy tells her that they won't give any details just a poster saying she is missing and anybody who can give them some information can contact them and get Rs. 2000 as reward. She tells Chandini that the people at the club are always in dire need of money and somebody will surely tell them something. Chandini begins to feel hopeful and asks Amy if this plan will work and Amy tells her there is no harm in trying.
Chandini and Amy go to the club's entrance stealthily and put up the notice on the wall.
A tensed Beeji is pacing the roof of the chawl ticking things of a list when Chandini comes to her excitedly and tells her that she has put up a poster in the club and that most probably by evening, they will get some information about Manisha. Beeji is very happy, but tells Chandini that she has to get back to her list.
Manisha and her friend go to the club and her friend tells her that she will just go into the club for a few minutes because she forgot some things inside and she has to just go and get them. Manisha waits outside for her and suddenly catches sight of the poster. She is shocked to see it and thinks to herself that once again Chandini has tried to follow her. She stealthily takes out the poster and hastily puts it into her purse when her friend comes out and both leave.
Manisha is sitting in a restaurant and her friend brings her coffee telling her this is the fourth coffee that she has taken on loan from Manisha, but she will pay it back. A smiling Manisha assures her not to worry. Her friend tells her that a DJ in the club will be releasing his album next week and that she has got a special invitation for the launch which means that booze will be totally free. She tells Manisha that they both should go to the party and rock. Manisha is only half listening to the conversation because her gaze falls upon 2 small girls who are sitting in a nearby table and arguing. They are sisters and one girl is accusing the other that it isn't fair that she keeps getting the best designs of the clothes. Seeing them, Manisha goes back into flashback of the past where she and Chandini argued about the payal and then enjoyed swinging. Her friend sees her totally lost and tries to rouse her back to the present. Finally frustrated, she dips Manisha's finger in the hot coffee and the Manisha comes back to the present with a start. Her friend asks her what is the matter and Manisha says that she is looking at the 2 sisters and how they are arguing. Her friend asks her that suddenly why she is becoming touchy about family when she herself said she has no family, just her friends. Manisha doesn't answer and tells her friend that they should both leave.
Beeji is totally busy in the kitchen supervising and bossing the helpers and Mrs. Godbole about the preparations. Vidya comes and asks her why she is so tensed and a worried Beeji says that they still have so much cooking to do in 1 hour so that they can deliver the dibbas to the Gyanmandir school. Chandini also comes in and gives Beeji a present. It is a red apron which has the words 'World's Best Cook' written on it. She says that the whole world should know that no one prepares food as good as her Beeji and ties the apron around Beeji and Beeji sheds tears of happiness and accuses Chandini of making her cry. Chandini tells her that she is very proud to be the loved granddaughter of her only Beeji. Beeji thanks Matharani and asks her for just one more favour, and that is to return her other granddaughter back to her. Chandini asks Beeji whether the worry of Manisha is gnawing at her heart and Beeji says yes.
Manisha is sleeping when images of her family flashes through her mind and she gets up with a start. Her friend also wakes up and asks her what the matter. Manisha remains silent. Her friend sits beside her and tells her that she is not very intelligent, but she noticed that ever since Manisha saw the 2 girls in the restaurant she has become very disturbed. She asks Manisha to tell her what is the matter. Manisha bursts into tears and tells her friend that she had a dream in which she saw her house and family, her father, mother, her younger sister Chandini and her Beeji. She says that Chandini loves her a lot and recounts wistfully how in childhood, she and Chandini used to fight so much, but they also couldn't remain without one another. Many times she gets the urge to hug Chandini or to sleep in her Beeji's lap and cry, but cannot go near them because she fears that they won't accept her the way she has become. She has totally changed and they might not even recognize her. Her friend is silent for a moment and asks her what does she plan to do now. Manisha says that she can't meet them, but if she just sees her Beeji and Chandini once, she will be satisfied.
Meanwhile Chandini is standing in the bus stop waiting for the cab and also thinking about Manisha. She thinks to herself that till now, nobody has called with any information about Manisha.
In IC, Chandini gets a call from Tulsi ( Vidya's saas ) who asks her to come to the chawl fast as her Beeji is in trouble.
Back in the chawl, all the chawl people are discussing with each other excitedly. They say that Beeji is now in lot of trouble and there could even be police involved. Just then police arrive with a few frantic people. At the same time, Manisha also comes to the chawl stealthily, but when she sees the police, she puts a dupatta over her head and hides behind some trees. The frantic people tell the police that their children are in hospital and it is all Sunitha Godbole's and an old lady ( i.e. Beeji's ) fault. The police inspector asks them to remain calm, but the parents say that they cannot when their children are in hospital and if the police don't do anything, then they will resort to action but they won't leave the two women. Manisha who is listening to everything asks herself worriedly as to what her Beeji did so that she came into trouble. The inspector demands to know where is Sunitha Godbole's house and the chawl people point it out. A very worried Mukund is looking on. Beeji and Mrs. Godbole come out and the parents start accusing them of sending stale food to their children for which reason they are now in hospital. Beeji and Mrs. Godbole plead with the parents saying they have children of their own and they would never do anything like this. They plead with the inspector not to arrest them because they would be in disgrace. But the inspector says that 20 children have already been admitted in hospital and the reason is because these 2 women have mixed impurities so that they make more profit. Beeji and Mrs. Godbole are shocked to hear this and try to defend themselves, but the inspector refuses to listen to them and handcuffs the both of them. He goes out taking Beeji and Mrs. Godbole. Manisha is shocked to see Beeji in such a state, but she cannot do anything and looks totally helpless. Just then Chandini comes running upto Beeji and pleads with the inspector to let her Beeji go as she is totally innocent. She cries and hugs Beeji not to go as she will become totally alone. Manisha is watching all this with tears in her eyes. A tearful Sunitha Godbole bids goodbye to Mukund and Tulsi assures her that she will take care of him. The inspector goes forward taking the 2 women and the crowd and Manisha is left staring helplessly.
Preview of next episode: Mukund and Chandini go to the police station, but the police in charge says that unless bail is provided, Beeji and Mrs. Godbole will have to stay in the jail as his guests. A worried Chandini and Mukund look at each other.
