i totally agree with charmee and ishita time and situation made mayank to take such a decision if he waited for his mom gunur's father would have changed his decision and you know barat had left at time which indicated very bad situation for a girl's father and you know na mayank is very mature to understand such a think so he did it without his mother ,he knows her mother will understand him very well bcz she is always been support for his son so she will surely accept and respect his decision and he knows of it
