Preeti smiles and tells her mom that she has never refused anything she has said. Her mom smiles. They go inside. Preeti helps her mom into bed. She tells her mom to rest here and not worry. Preeti leaves. Preeti's mom talks to khana saying that her daughter doesn't ever refuse her words.. but she didn't agree either.
Preeti is setting the table. Radhika comes and says she will set the table. Preeti nods and leaves. Summi comes. She asks about Preeti to Radhika. Radhika tells her that Preeti just went now. Summi says okay and starts to go but Radhika calls her back. She asks if Preeti told her anything. Summi asks about what? Radhika says about Suryakamal. Summi says no, she starts to leave but Radhika calls her back again. She asks if summi thinks that Preeti is.. she stops as Vinay, Preeti's father and uncle come. They sit down at the table. Summi goes to Radhika and whispers that she and preeti will eat later, they aren't hungry. She goes to leave but Vinay asks why they aren't hungry. Summi animatedly says that Radhika made a big breakfast for them and leaves.
Preeti is outside thinking of when her mom chose Suryakamal for her. The sun is setting. Summi comes, she snaps Preeti out of her thoughts. She asks what happened. Preeti says nothing. Summi tells Preeti that she has an idea. Preeti says to leave it, shes tensed. Simmi says that they should go meet Suryakamal. Preeti asks Summi if she's gone crazy. Summi tells her to listen and whispers something in her ear.
The phone rings and Summi's dad picks it up. Summi's mom is also there. Its Rishi's dad calling. Summi's mom takes the phone from Summi's dad. She asks about the decision. Rishi's dad says that they agree to the marriage proposal. Summi's mom is very happy. She puts down the phone. Summi's dad asks what all this was about. Summi's mom tells the dad that they agreed to the marriage proposal. Summi's dad gets angry. Summi's mom argues back. Summi's dad starts to leave angrily but Summi's mom slyly says "after your anger wears out bring some sweets, I don't want to give the good news to everyone without anything" She laughs. Summi's dad looks angry.
In the morning Summi brings Preeti upstairs. Preeti asks Summi where she's taking. Summi says "are you going to talk to Suryakamal infront of everyone?" She calls Suryakamal.
Summi and Preeti are on the boat. Preeti asks Summi what she is going to ask SuryaKamal. Summi tells Preeti to wait and watch. On the other hand Suryakamal is sitting and waiting, he fixes his hair. The waiter asks Suryakamal what he would like. Suryakamal orders three teas and says that he will pay for them. Summi and Preeti arrive at the teashop. Suryakamal gets up and greets Preeti and Summi.
They all sit down. Summi starts the conversation. Summi says that she knows Suryakamal is probably wondering why they called him here. Suryakamal says yes, you said it was something important. He starts to ask something but is about to sneeze, he stops himself. Suryakamal says that he ordered the tea before hand, he has had the tea here, its pretty good. Summi says that before they drink tea she wants him to promise that he won't tell anyone anything. Suryakamal promises. Summi says that actually, preeti doesn't want to decieve anyone. Suryakamal is confused. Summi says that their house members didn't tell Suryakamal something. But Preeti didn't want to hide anything. She says that Preeti has some sort of illness since her childhood. Preeti kicks Summi's leg. Suryakamal is appalled, he asked if they didn't get her treated. Summi says that they did but the doctor said that she has to live with that illness all her life. Summi asks if his house members would want a bahu like that. Thats why Preeti would like it if you refuse the rishta on your own. Suryakamal looks sad, he asks Preeti if Summi is telling the truth. Preeti starts to say something but Suryakamal says "theres no need to say anything, I understand." The waiter comes for the bill, Suryakamal says that he will pay. Preeti gets up and says bye, she leaves. Summi says "please don't mind" and runs off to catch Preeti. Suryakamal has tears in his eyes.

Preeti and Summi are in the boat going back home. Preeti is asking Summi if she didn't find any other excuse? She could have simply asked him to refuse! Summi says that he could be anything but he wouldn't be stupid enough to reject the rishta of a very good girl like you. Preeti thinks about it and says that she probably did right then. They get off the bed and see Rishi. Summi says look! They go over to him. He greets them. Summi says that he has a really long life, they were just talking about him. Summi asks what he's doing here. Rishi says that his mom asked him to give something to panditji. Rishi asks what they were talking about him. Summi says that whatever they were saying, they were saying good things. Rishi and Preeti are looking at each other. Rishi smiles and says that he would like to know what good things people say about him. Summi says that "that you're very handsome and very charming" Rishi says "do you really think that? I don't believe it. If it were like that, some of your famliy members wouldn't.." Summi says if forget about the family members, would you won't to elope? Preeti shuts Summi up. Preeti tells Rishi not to take Summi seriously. They say they have to leave. They leave. Radhika smiles and says okay, she says to make something sweet. Preeti suggests halwa. Radhika says okay. Preeti tells Radhika to rest. She leaves. Preeti and Summi start cooking.

She has to tell her mom that she can't marry Suryakamal. She won't be able to do it, her mom will have to understand. She gets up.
