Awards shows in bollywood

ok so I was watching the Golden Globe awards (my first time...was crossing my fingers and legs for either Glee,Modern Family or The Office to win for TV series and I'm so freaking happy Glee won!😃)

anyways so I thought that the GG's were very very well handled esp being a live telecast and they got over at exactly 11 which was surprising (for me) anyways I hate to compare but I couldnt resist....in bollywood award shows we always have the two hosts throwing about really old and corny jokes, the SAME actors with their performances which never are any different.....AND we have the undeserving getting some nods (although that happened with the GG's too..I LOVED Avatar but seriously Avatar over Up In The Air and Precious and Hurt Locker???)...in the GG's Ricky Gervais the host was surprisingly timid with his jokes...I mean yeah there were some that were uncomfy but he handled them in a very classy way I should say.....(AND seeing a drunk Julia Roberts was amazing😆😆😆)

I was just thinking about how Hollywood can get through an award show WITHOUT OTT performances by celebs and crappy jokes that offend everyone where as in Bollywood we need an Ashu fighting with the Khan siblings and stuff like that or SRK/Saif's notorious NaReal awards......

ok so I completely dont make any sense at all...but just wanted to know your thoughts😊

PS- I SO loved the idea that film and television were both given equal importance in these awards and I think that this format could be cool to introduce in Bollywood.... and even though I HATE when bwood copies hwood...I like that Hollywood consists of film and television and both are synonymously used to describe Hollywood.

Oh come on even GGs and Oscars have their share of catty and leg pulling kinda comments. There hosts are taken from late night talk shows or other stand up comedians.. and they take jibes on everything from Angelina jolie's babies to politics to everything else. One thing that Americans know well is to laugh at themselves and it is a very good quality. Film industries have their gossips and cliched stuff so what is wrong in them talking about it themselves rather than letting others talk about them.. People should learn to take themselves less seriously. I kinda find Oscars and GGs boring.. the only good thing about them is the red carpet ceremony.. other than that.. very few people actually stick through watching them.. It was fun last year in GGs when SRK dropped by.. that was pretty kewl.. I skipped GGs all together this year! About Na-real awards.. well I loved them.. they were pretty funny. I used to love Bolly awards when the performances used to be live and not taped.. and when the reactions used to be real ones and not fake ones.. I wish that they could just make awards live so that it would be double the fun for the audience to see whats happening.. and not get fake made up reactions.. About jokes and stuff.. I dont think its a bad idea for the industry to laugh at themselves once in a while.

The only one thing i hate about bollywood awards are they are edited. You don't even know if the celebrity really enjoyed it or was it edited? That's all.
