What is Mallika's importance?

Sadhna and Mallika are two poles apart...starting from their dressing sense to your personality...Sadhna is calm and composed while Mallika is more upcoming and extrovert, a direct contrast in personalities..sometimes, we cannot appreciate a stuff, because it is readily available to us. We learn to appreciate light, only when we know what darkness is...we appreciate sweetness when we taste something spicy...

And also, I feel Mallika quick apologies to Alekhm has soemthing more to it... just remember her dialogue "I will make Alekh realise what I felt about this later"..is it some vindictive indication... this is again another contrast to Sadhna's characteristic, who is ever forgiving and who tries to rise about circumstance...

Hope many of you will elaborate on this...

But he is a good son who wants to make up to his mother for the lost years and vasu is taking advantage of this. Alek will bring back sadana soon. Alek is not wrong when you look aat the whole situation from his point of view.
