Karan turns pub-owner
Television actor Karan Kapoor (of Shararat fame) will soon turn entrepreneur. Having purchased a 1700 sq feet area at a prime location in Bandra, he will soon start a new pub there. "I have realised that this profession is risky and you need financial security in your life. My father suggested that I open a pub in partnership with my uncle," quips Karan.

In one of his recent interviews he said that he had agreed to do Shararat for quick money. So is that where he had spent it all? "It is not my money," he clarifies. "My uncle invested in the land and I will give creative inputs. I have suggested that the pub be called Jehnuma, which in Urdu means heaven. The name is so romantic that I feel like that I am in love with Jehnuma. The interior will be Mughal style and the food served will be authentic Hyderbadi," says Karan.
. This is a unique concept which I think will work with those who are bored with typical cosmopolitan pubs," says Karan. The pub will start from March 2006. "We will have construct it and then do the interiors. I will be getting the dcor items from Dubai and Persia. I will also buy some of the famous Islamic art for the interiors," he says.
