Ranbir on Verve Mag Jan 2010 Interview/Scans

First, I don't know how everyone else feels, but I am by now more than a little weary of the whole Kapoor-Dynastic-Legend stuff that seems to lurk in the background of almost every single interview he gives. I respect the family and the lineage, without a doubt. But I'd really like someone to take the Kapoor out of Ranbir and present him as an individual in his own right. Sometimes I think he's the one always talking about his legacy...but that's when I remember that it's an interview, and he's responding to what is placed before him as a question or a statement. Will look forward to the day someone plucks up enough gall to do a feature on him without the faintest echo of lineage-talk...

Second, the initial part of this article tends to confirm my first apprehension. He's been reduced to a shadow of his ancestors in the first couple of paragraphs. 'Emulating and spoofing'. Is that really all he does?

Third, I like the last part because it finally brings in some things I didn't already know a thousand times over. And more so, because it came from Ranbir's own mouth. Knew about Strasberg, but School of Visual Arts too? And half a dozen short films...that really is something...

He is looking really cute...Love his outfit !!!
