Very good first episode - I really liked it.
First of all, great deal of authentic cultural flavour. The pooja, the chillies and grain set out to dry, the whole house, the vakil's office, the typewriter, the terrace, the mohalla... I liked the entire context.
Also, before the series, they said it was caste based, and many people reacted saying, who cares about caste these days? But you could see from the very first episode the significance of the culture. The makers have successfully created a world there it matters very much indeed. by the end of the episode I was thinking "this young man from this brahmin family is going to fall in love with a kayastha girl! oh god!" So well done, show!👍🏼👍🏼
Also loved the dialogues - sounded authentic to me, at least different from the usual "serial" type lines. Just LOVED it when GK said "ama yaar!" to his friend. Waiting to see how it turns out.
