I will tell u who he is. He is the son of Great marathi singer " ARUN DATE". all the maharashtrian will be knowing his name. ALSo, AMEY was a runner up in SA RE GA MA megafinals. Also, He already has two songs to his credit ------ "Koi na jaane, yeh ishq kya hai" featuring Raman Lamba and "watna weh, oh mere ya watna weh" from PINJAR. Jus' listen to these songs and u will know the caliber of this singer.Today however he was a bit nervous though.

I had liked him since SA RE GA MA and also wanted he and all the Sa Re Ga Ma megafinalists to be there in II. So now that he is here, he will definitely steal the show.

Hello ... I am not sure if you are right here. Amey has an elder sister and his MOM/DAD are divorced. His grandfather was a musician. I think Arun Date's son is SAMIR DATE. (no relation to Amey!!!) And Amey has lent is voice in Mar UDARI as well!
