It was about 4'o clock, but due to winter, it used to get dark really quickly. It was yet another day for Nupur, but something was different about that day. Nupur was actually smiling the whole day!

"Someone is looking very happy today." Mayank said, breaking the stare.

"Nupur why do act so hard when you don't mean it?" Mayank asked slowly, making sure he is not hurting her in any way.

"Your most welcome. Now would you like to share the reason of your happiness with me?" Mayank grinned, "To double your happiness." He added.

"So friends?" Mayank asked handing out his hand to shake with not so sure look on his face. Nupur was amazed for a minute, but then she took the hand in her hand and shook.

"They both broke up" Hinna says, looking down on the creamy carpet with complete blank eyes. Mayank's words echos in her ears again and again. She could not belive a guy like Mayank can do something like playing with someone's emotions. Right this second, all she could think is that how did Nupur face all this? She feels guilt taking over her frustration for not being able to stand by her best friend in her time of need. "More like cheated on her" Hinna added further before Sanam could reply her.

Flashback:

"So, what's wrong?" Hinna asks, taking seat opposite him in the university canteen, after their enrolment. Hinna asked Mayank to see her, after his enrolment, and he did as he been told. Mayank was right there on time. After few minutes Hinna reached there too and took a seat opposite him.

"What's up with you and Nupur? Did anything happened?" Hinna finally asked, not getting hold of herself anymore.

"Look, it's all misunderstanding." Mayank replied, trying his best to sound normal and praying within that Hinna will not burst out on him.

"Come to point, will you?" Hinna stated starightaway.

"Okay, but please hear me out once and then comment." Hinna simply nodded, gestruing him to srart.

"Okay!" Mayank silently prepared himself to take what ever comes next. "I placed a bet with one of my friend that I will have to make Nupur fall in love with me and when she is fallen for me, I have to dump her." Mayank said, knowing the exact reaction of Hinna. He knew he was done for.

"What? Do you even realise what you are saying? How could you even think of doing that with her? How could you do something so cheap and vulgur? How could you?" Hinna burts out on him, showering all her bitterness and anger on him. How can a man stoop so law? Does it not have any consicous?, Hinna spoke through her red angry eyes.

"Isn't that great? Ruining someone's life, playing with their emotions and say sorry. Amazing." Hinna sair again with same anger and bitterness in her tone, but this time she said a bit louder. Everyone in the canteen turned to look at her, and she gestured them which meant Sorry.

"Please, Let me finish." Mayank pleaded in front of her. Hinna calmed herself down and gestured Mayank to continue.

"The other day I was talking to the same guy, I placed a bet with, and Nupur overheard us and misunderstood me.", he pauses for a second and then continues, " I swear down, I was talking to him about cancelling the bet but he wasn't ready for it. I didn't wanted to hurt Nuput anymore and was going to tell her the truth, but just then she overheard us and all went wrong." Mayank finished, slowly looked up to find Hinna in lost in deep thoughts. He knew what he had done, had no forgiveness what so ever, but somewhere in his heart he knew Nupur would forgive him. For now, more than Nupur's forgiveness, it was really imporant get Hinna's forgiveness.

"Tell me what did you get by doing all this bullshit? Money, girls, popularity, answer me god damn it?" Hinna screamed, but was not so loud to be able for other to hear her.

Mayank did dared to look up. Hinna was shooting diggers at him.

"Yeah of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't have treated her like this." Hinna let out a fake laugh.

"And what is the guaranty that you really love her?" Hinna questioned back, with cold look.

Sanam just kept quiet after hearing this. She is not uttering a single word since last 5 minutes. She looks exceptionally lost in her own thoughts or may be breaking down within herself. The guilt takes over her shock, for not being there for Nupur, who always stood by her. Soon, her guilt turns into tears and starts shedding from her eyes. Hinna notices this and simply hugs her tightly.

"Thanks." Sanam replies.

"Join us." Hinna replies, and Nupur runs to hug both the ladies.

"Are you sure you want to drive?" Nupur asks Hinna, coming out of her house with all her belongings and placing them in the boot at the back.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Hinna replies, shutting the boot and walking towards the front dirver seat. Sanam sits next to her and Nupur makes herself comfortable on the back seat.

"Or how about I driving till London motorway, then you can take over?" Nupur suggests her friend, as she knows driving 174 by herself will be a great challenge and she drove in the morning too, so she must be tired.

"I don't mind." Hinna agrees to it and comes out of the car and takes a seat at the back and Nupur does the same taking driver's seat and their journey starts.

The door bell rings and Nupur goes to open the door as Sanam and Hinna are in the kitchen, god knows what they cooking.

Nupur reaches for the handle and pulls the door inside to find The one and only Mayank Sharma standing in front of her, dressed in black as always.

"Hello. Don't be in illusion. I am here to meet Sanam." Mayank replies with a big grin on his face and Nupur is complete taken back at his reply.

I know all of you must be wondering that I didn't include the promo, but I wanted to get over with the flashback, so could not include the promo. The more flashback will be coming in next few parts.

Hey dear.... Damn good update..... I just loved the way Hinna reacted to Mayank's bet... Had I been there, I would have literally slapped him for treating my best friend like that... But then Hinna was no less... I am happy she slammed Mayank.. And God, for the first time, I had started to hate Mayank but then when he confessed his love for Nupur, to Hinna.. I was happy.😊.. that the train is back on the track....Somehow cannot see Mayank and Nupur separate.... so much used to seeing them together.. kya karen?
