In a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, contestant Pranit More spoke candidly about a painful part of his early life. During a conversation with fellow housemate Ashnoor Kaur, the stand-up comedian shared how, as a child, he was often ridiculed because of his dark complexion. The discussion revealed a more personal side of Pranit, as he described the emotional impact of being judged for something beyond his control.
Pranit recalled those difficult years, saying, "Jab main chota tha mujhe humesha bola jaata tha ke tum dark ho, toh tum kam ho. Aur sab chidhaate the, toh tabhi mujhe bahot bura lagta tha ke yaar ye cheez toh mere haath mein thi bhi nahi. Aur uss cheez ke liye mujhe kyun bol rahe hain."
He went on to explain that such experiences left a lasting mark on him and made him aware of how damaging casual remarks can be. Pranit said he has always made an effort not to insult or make fun of anyone for their looks. He believes that words can deeply affect a person’s self-esteem and that people should be more thoughtful before passing comments.
"Isliye tune dekha hoga iss show mein bhi main na kisi ko kabhi fat-shaming, kabhi kisi ko galat cheez nahi bolta hoon. Kyunki mujhe pata hai ke woh cheez tumhe kitni hurt ho sakti hai," he shared.

Pranit’s conversation on the show opened up a larger discussion about colourism and body shaming, issues that many people continue to face in silence. His story highlighted how such behaviour can leave emotional scars that last for years. By choosing to speak openly about his own experiences, Pranit shed light on a topic that is often ignored, reminding others of the importance of empathy and respect.
The moment stood out in the episode, not as a dramatic revelation, but as a reflection on how words and attitudes during childhood can shape a person’s confidence and sense of self long after the teasing stops.
