Dada and the Disco King
Mithun Chakraborty and Bappi Lahiri to combine forces for Rocking Dard-E-Disco, where Bappi plays DK or Disco King
The hit actor-music director jodi of Mithun Chakraborty and Bappi Lahiri are ready to bring disco back in vogue. They have delivered many hits in the 1980s together.
Bappi will be acting in Rocking Dard-E-Disco, which also stars Nandini Jumani and Rituparna Sengupta. Now Mithun too has joined the cast.
Bappi Lahiri says, "Yes, Mithun and I have given some great hits together in the past. This time I am acting in a film and also wanted him to be a part of it. So I called up dada and he is doing the film, which is being directed by Ashok Tyagi.
We are yet to begin shooting together. I play the role of DK aka Disco King. Mithun will play himself in the film and will be shown as my friend."
Commenting further on his closeness with Mithun, Bappi says, "Our association is getting stronger by the day. I have composed music for his film Spaghetti 24 X 7, where Mithun and his son Mimoh are acting together for the first time.
We are also doing a couple of more films where I am composing the music. However, I think it will be interesting to work as an actor with Mithun."
