Actually ,I'm not trying to say that Simmi is to be Blamed FOR NEETU..... Simmi..nowadays is behaving in a way that mature girls and responsible daughters from those type of conservative families don't......No matter how much she likes/liked Abhi.....she could've denied Abhi's advances..? But NO😲!
She in fact was too excited, too desperate to hear the 3 magical words from Abhi..!!
I would interprete it to be a very desperate situation.. Simmi has never been out with any boy,Abhi's the ONLY person she's known outside her family... So she started fantacizing Abhi BUT>>> BUT....... She is shown to be very responsible towards her family earlier.. such that she even accepted Rajeev Bhalla to make her family happy.... and now all of a sudden she's meeting this YOUNGER Guy at night n has no conflicts in her MATURE mind..?? Huh? Or is it that Simmi's mind is having some 'logical' thoughts NOW that maybe she should forget Abhi and follow her family..??Maybe she should give Nakul's proposal a serious thought..?
Dear viewers....let us..for a minute brush off the idea of 'romance in demand' that WE WANT to bloom in between ABHI and SIMMI.....instead think of Just Simmi as the eldest daughter of a conservative family!

The whole point of the show it to highlight how even conservative girls can make decisions that are unexpected and against the norms of society. Simi never exactly chased after Abhi nor did Abhi exactly try to court Simi. What made the whole romance so endearing (until they both professed their love), is that they just happened to meet each other at the right time. He was there helping her as a friend; he was the first person to bring some happiness and joy into her life when all she had experienced were tears of sadness.
He didn't see her as a fat girl (remember the Qutb Minar scene?). He actually cared about her. The whole day together when she bunked off school with him (which the could have given more dialogue too and given as a glimpse to their conversations), reminded her of what it was like to feel important. Their over night conversation and Abhi's interest in her, all these things caused us to blush and sigh and fall for "Abhi" (not Neil Bhatt per se). So how can we blame Simi? She started caring about him - remember the car accident? She could hardly focus and was willing to throw away a perfectly good rishta in her attempt to know if he was OK.
The cynic in me says she should marry Nukul since she doesn't show any love or concern for Abhi these days, especially when she was bothered about being seen with Abhi in public because she had a potential rishta. However, the Simi we knew pre-Nukul, showed she loved Abhi.
Unfortunately, the creative team has done a poor job to address Simi's reaction to their age difference other than her always calling Abhi a "bachcha." .

😃 Life is real, we have to be practical and not get carried away with emotion which in young age is very strong and revolting.
