| After walking the ramp and doing commercials, model-turned-actor Indraneil has signed his first big television show. Scheduled to appear on Star Plus, its working title is Pyaar Ke Do Naam, Ek Radha Ek Shyam.
Confirming the news, Indraneil said, "Yes, I am playing the lead. It's a romantic story and I am cast opposite Barkha Bisht (previously seen in Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi). I am not allowed to give out the story, but I can tell you that it's something that hasn't been presented on television in a long time. My character's name also has a lot to do with the plot." Why the switch?
The actor has been the face of many brands as a model. What prompted him to join television? "I was apprehensive before taking on a daily. The basic fear was facing a burnout after shooting for long hours. Fortunately, we have been working at a very comfortable pace, and there is no problem at all."
Acting school
Taking a break from modelling, Indraneil joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting school to learn the ropes. "It's always better to do some good ground work before you face the camera. Also, my director, Kaushik Ghatak, is very cooperative. He doesn't dictate anything, and lets you develop your own pattern."
The show is tentatively scheduled to go on air by next month. "Since it's a daily, we have been shooting well in advance, creating a bank. It's amazing to work under a banner like the Rajshris." Personal life
About his look in the drama, the actor said, "There is nothing different in my appearance. It's very close to how I look in real life; I am in contemporary clothes." On the personal front, Indraneil refuses to say if he's dating someone. "Maybe, but I am definitely not married."
