One thing about the episodes over the last 3-4 days - has Uday suddenly become the most hated member of the Vashisth family? Rivaling even Jyoti?
I can understand that MN&G, and even Pankaj are upset. But they've completely taken leave of their senses. Gayatri seems to suspect Jyoti as having broken her promise, and doesn't seem to recognize that whether they like what Uday did or not, it's done, and they need to accept Sudha as bahu. This is particularly surprising since when Sudha was bailed out, there was a much more justified reason for shunning her, which even Uday did, and yet they opened their home to her. Yet, the same girl who could be accepted in the household when she was a suspected criminal, is now persona non grata when she's innocent just b'cos she accepted their nephew's proposal to marry him?
And MN? Yesterday, when he asked Uday to stay, he stayed, and the reason he left today is not because he didn't respect his elders, but b'cos his mom, far from respecting his marriage, was demanding that his bride abandon him for a price. This violated every norm of decency, which is why Uday got uncharacterestically angry and walked out. And MN fails to see this, and just blindly takes CM's side?
Pankaj!!! In the past, he would have been justified had he suspected Jyoti of putting her maaykya before sasural, but now? How does he square that w/ what he knows - that Jyoti's parents are opposed to this match? Also, not only did Jyoti get the engagement ring back - she accompanied them to Kota and helped put the proposal together. How was it then in Jyoti's interest to sabotage it and get abused by Uday's would-not-be in-laws? Has Pankaj too lost his mind?
And today, when CM stormed into Uday's room and wanted to destroy Uday's stuff, why did Jyoti feel the need to interfare, given that she knows how much she's hated by CM? Why didn't she just leave it to Minal, who has more clout? And MN&G and Pankaj & Pratik came in and stopped CM from breaking that photo of the 4 siblings: after that, why did they all see it fit to accompany CM out of the room, as though she was the victim?
And tonight, when CM rants about why is Uday being allowed into the Sharma home, will MN&G side w/ her on that as well, and think the entire family was behind Sudha's elopement?
On a different note, I hope that Sudha tells Uday the truth about Sushma. Also, I hope that they move out of there, find their own home and start it together. Uday should find a new job, and b/w his salary and Sudha's, they should be able to manage it. I'm glad Uday has the self respect to walk out of there, which Jyoti doesn't yet have, and won't until she is kicked out. Also, I want to see romantic Suday scenes.
