Hello, hello! Yes, I am totally aware that I've got two unfinished FFs floating around somewhere here, and if you bug me about that, you will receive a batch of poisoned cupcakes. 😊 The choice is yours.

Anyway, now that I've got a month of holidays, I figured I'd start a new Meet FF. So this is supposed to be based on Love Aaj Kal, but, knowing me, who knows how'll it turn out? 😃 And so I present, the prologue to Thoda Thoda Pyaar, coming up in the next post! 😃

Thoda Thoda Pyaar

Prologue

"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess…"

"Nahin, Papa, aap aapki aur Mama ki kahaani sunaao, na, please?"

"Please?"

"Chachu, please, bataao na?"

He held up his hands to silence the chorus of "please"s that were coming from the children seated on the floor around them. "Arre, woh hi to bataane wala tha, na! Ab zara mujhe bolne doge kya?"

The children nodded eagerly. His daughter and his niece even put their fingers to their lips. They looked up at him in anticipation. He took a moment to study all their faces. In fact, he took so long that a rather impatient three-year-old burst out with a "Chachu, jaldi karo na! Diwali ke liye wait kar rahey ho, kya?"

He gave his niece an amused look. God knew where she picked that up from.

He cleared his throat dramatically. He paused and looked around. He took a deep breath, as if he was ready to begin. Then he cleared his throat again.

The children groaned, and a chorus of exasperated "Papa!"s and "Chachu!"s resounded.

He laughed, motioning for them to settle down.

"Once upon a time," he began again, "there was a beautiful princess in a light blue salwaar kurta, standing alone in a corner of a club…"

BHAV!!!!! I am so excited that you are righting a MEET FF!!!! I love you times a billion! i think this will help me get through the tragic end of meet!😭

Anyways, I am excited to see that the story is based on love aaj kal! I started to watch the movie but I fell asleep in between.😆😆 So i think your story will help me fill in the gaps!

And I love his neice's line about waiting for diwali.😆 I think I am going to use that the next timee someone takes forever.

the kids were so cute and I loved the Diwali bit !
