Start of episode:
Chandini is sitting on the bed stunned and with tears in her eyes. Sheeba says she is sorry and that she tried her level best. A still stunned Chandini just gets up and slowly walks away.
Beeji is lighting diyas all along the parapet when Romeo tells her that looking at her, he remembers Anarkali because she lit diyas just like this when Salim returned from war. Beeji says, 'khote da puttar, it is not Anarkali but Salim's mother Jodhabai! ' She tells Romeo that he can't understand mamta ka tadap. Romeo asks her for just one laddoo because she has made so many and Beeji gives him. He wants to ask for another, but beeji just shoos him away.
Just then Beeji sees Chandini and asks her excitedly where is Manisha. When Chandini doesn't answer, she thinks that Manisha has a lot of luggage and therefore she is coming behind in a taxi. She tells Chandini to take a laddoo fast because once Manisha comes, there won't be any left. Chandini with tears in her eyes turns and Beeji worriedly asks her that she met Manisha, right? Chandini just shakes her head and gives Manisha's letter to Beeji. Beeji is shocked to see the letter. She tells Chandini that maybe it is a trick of Sheeba because last time also she had told a lie about Manisha. But Chandini says that this time Sheeba is not doing any fareb and that it is indeed Manisha's handwriting. She asks Beeji why is Manisha doing like this. Beeji tells her that it is Manisha's old habit of running away and making others cry. Once at school, when she was caught cheating she had run away to an old mandir till they found her, but she was not at all scared. Chandini asks her if this time also Manisha has committed some crime and that is why she doesn't want to go back. But Beeji says that Manisha understands that no matter how many mistakes children commit, their parents will always forgive them. Chandini hugs Beeji and keeps crying.
In the morning, Romeo is playing cricket with the chawl kids and then it is his turn to bat. He hits the ball which goes flying in the air. All the chawl kids are looking up when Amy walks into the chawl. All the kids yell at her to catch the ball. Amy is confused, but she puts her hands up and manages to catch the ball. She tosses her hair and Romeo is totally stunned to see her and goes totally lattoo! He exclaims, kya jhakaas hai! Amy says what????? Romeo comes upto her and says what a jhakaas catch that was. Amy asks him where is Chandini and Romeo who is staring at her eyes says 'in your eyes! Amy irritatedly says Chandini Kapoor's house and says that she will ask someone else. Romeo snaps out of his reverie and thinks to himself that she was asking for sister's ( Chandini's ) house and he behaved like a complete idiot.
Beeji and Chandini are sitting dejectedly in their room and Beeji asks Chandini how long will she stay upset like this. Chandini morosely tells her that she feels as if she has lost everything and says that at least not for her sake, but Manisha should have at least thought of Beeji. Beeji tries to console her, but Chandini keeps sitting depressed. Just then there is a knock on the door. Beeji opens the door and sees Amy. Amy does Pranaam to Beeji who is confused and asks Amy who she is. Amy introduces herself and says hi to Chandini. Chandini just glances at her and turns away dejectedly. Beeji says to Amy, oh so you are Chandini's telephone operator! Now you only tell some sense to Chandini. Amy goes upto Chandini and says her that she will definitely find Manisha. Chandini turns around crying and tells Amy that all hope is lost. Amy gives her mobile to chandini and tells her to call Sheeba again, but Chandini refuses saying that she doesn't want to trouble Sheeba any further. Beeji tells Chandini to go and take bath, get ready, drink some tea and then she will feel better. She takes a reluctant Chandini out leaving Amy sitting worried.
Amy calls up Sheeba and introduces herself as Chandini's friend. Sheeba is irritated and tells her she did all she could and she can't do anything more. Amy asks her to please understand Chandini's situation; she is very upset about her missing sister. Sheeba says she has to leave for Goa immediately, but gives Amy two phone numbers of people who might know something about Manisha.
Amy speaks to the first person, but he doesn't know where manisha is. Amy asks him to tell Manisha the next time they meet at a party that her younger sister Chandini is looking for her. She dials the second number, but nobody is at home and the answering machine says that it is Bhavna Mishra's residence and could u please leave a message. Amy speaks on behalf of Chandini saying this is Chandini Kapoor, Manisha Kapoor's younger sister and if you have any information regarding Manisha kindly call back. She puts the phone down.
Beeji is combing Chandini's hair and again trying to console her. But Chandini says that Amy has already called the 2 people and there is no response. Amy comes in and says that Bhavna still hasn't called. Beeji says that even a tinka of hope could lead them to the shore. But Chandini says there is no hope left. Amy and Beeji look at each other and then Amy says that she forgot why she came in the first place. She says it is Smitha's bday today and she wants Chandini to come with her so that they can give her a gift. Chandini says she doesn't want to come, but Amy says you think you will say that and I will agree. Chandini pleads for her to understand her situation and tells her to tell everybody at the office that she is not feeling well. Amy tells Chandini that I know you are very upset because in spite of many efforts, you haven't been able to find your sister. But does that mean ki tum zindagi se haar man jaogi? Beeji agrees with Amy and tells Chandini to go on as it will lighten her mind. Chandini finally agrees.
Smitha and Varun walk into the hub which is completely dark and a confused Smitha tells him, that you had told me that Vishesh sir has called everyone an hour early, but there is no one here. She turns around to find Varun gayab. She is scared and tells Varun that she doesn't like all this mazaak. Just then Varun appears with a cake decorated with candles and starts singing Happy Birthday. Smitha is pleasantly surprised and asks Varun how he knew it was her birthday. Varun imitating Shahrukh Khan says that bade bade shahar mein choti choti batein sabko pata hai senorita. Smitha laughs and both start staring at each other. ( How romantic! 😳 ) Just then the lights come on and Adi comes in and asks what is happening. The door opens and everybody troops in singing happy birthday. Amy teasingly tells Varun, that oh the two of you were celebrating the bday alone. Varun tells her that oh Mohini, style hai to smile hai! Amy indignantly tells him that is her dialogue and only she has the copyright for it. She wishes Smitha and hands her a gift saying it is from Chandini and herself. Smitha opens it to find a windchime. Amy says it is to rid all the negative energy in her house. Smitha thanks her and then Kabir with the same poker face hands Smitha a gift. Varun teasingly says that even while giving a gift you have the same expression. If you give a smile, then the whole place will light up. You really resemble Anna. Everybody is confused and Varun says he is referring to Suneil Shetty who has the same expression, whether he is doing romance, action or dancing. He then goes on to imitate Sunil Shetty making everyone laugh. Then Adi says that no matter what his expression, Kabir is very dedicated to his work and even Vishesh thinks so. Kabir is pleased to hear this. Then Adi tells everyone that the party is over and they have to go back to work. Vishesh who just enters is surprised to hear this. He comes upto Adi and says that he can't believe what he is hearing. Adi is pleased and tells Vishesh that I told you I'm responsible. Both smile broadly, clasp each other around the shoulders and go out.
Chandini is sitting on her chair when the office boy comes and tells her there is a call for her from reception. Chandini is surprised and goes to the reception phone. The voice on the other end tells her that it is Bhavna. Chandini is shocked.
Meanwhile Beeji is praying to the Matharani idol when Romeo comes in and is shocked to see Beeji with tears in her eyes. He tells her that how come she is crying when she was the one who told Chandini to be brave. He says that just now he has gone to the mandir and offered money as prasad for the safe return of Manisha. Beeji with tears in her eyes tells him that she can't cry before Chandini because she is my granddaughter and it will only make her more tensed. Romeo is upset and tells Beeji that she shouldn't cry in front of him as well as he can't stand to see her crying. He says that Chandini is like his sister and that he will do everything possible to bring Beeji's other pothi back; it is a gentleman's promise. Beeji says fondly that tu khota ka khota hi rahega. Romeo is confused whether she is saying khota or pota. He then haltingly asks Beeji for another laddoo as they were totally raapchik! Beeji tells him he can have as many as he wants.
Chandini is very happy that Bhavna called her. Bhavna says that you had left a message for me on my answering machine. Chandini thinks of Amy with gratitude; she tells Bhavna that her shift is starting soon and she is not allowed to make personal calls. She gives Bhavna Amy's mobile number and asks her to please call after 11. Bhavna agrees.
Kabir has an angry look on his face because a caller is going on using abusive language at him. Vishesh and Adi are walking in the hub and Adi tells Vishesh that the meeting is scheduled at the correct time, when suddenly Kabir totally loses his cool and starts yelling at the caller. Everybody in the hub are shocked and turn to look at him.

Preview of next episode: Amy and Chandini are sitting in the canteen and Amy assures Chandini that Bhavna will definitely call. Just then the mobile rings and Chandini excitedly picks it up and says hi Bhavna! Bhavna is surprised that Chandini recognized her and chand says that she was waiting for her call only. Bhavna tells Chandini that when you left a message you had not left any number, but your sister Manisha told me that her younger sister works in IC. Chandini is surprised that Manisha knew where she was working, then her face deflates and she asks Bhavna that if Manisha knew that, then why didn't she come to meet her.
