Start of episode
Everybody at IC are at a jubilant mood and office has also been left early. Adi tells everybody to order icecream as a treat. Varun first of all wants a blackcurrent and then some other icecream. Kabir asks for a vanilla icecream and Varun teases him that with so many flavours available, why does he stick to the plain vanilla. Another female orders seethaphal. Amy wants a huge sundae with toasted nuts and lots of chocolate. Just then her phone rings and she picks it up. It is Beeji on the other hand. Amy informs her that Chandini left to meet Sheeba and assures Beeji that she will go home early. She puts down the phone and is surprised to see Chandini who is still there. Amy tells her to hurry and to call Beeji on her phone. Chandini calls, Vidya picks it up and tells Chand that she will go and get Beeji. Beeji arrives with her hands full of flour ( she had been helping Mrs. Godbole ) and tells Vidya to hold the phone for her. Beeji tells Chandini not to fight with Manisha when she says her, rather bring her home immediately so that she can scold Manisha herself. Chandini smilingly assures Beeji that she will not fight and puts down the phone. She asks Amy the direction of the coffeeshop and Amy tells her that the bus 248 goes there and the busstop is 2 minutes away.
Chandini is waiting at the bus stop next to 2 men. Autorickshaws stop by and ask her whether she wants a lift, but chandini thinks that the coffeeshop is just half an hour away and why should she waste money on the auto. She takes out a gold chain with the Matharani idol as a pendant from her bag and remembers that Beeji had given it to her to give to Manisha. Chandini says that this will be the first thing that she will give Manisha on meeting her as it has the aashirwaad of matharani. Then she notices the man next to her staring at the chain and she gets scared, thinking the man is a chor. She slowly puts the chain back in her bag. More and more people queue up, but no bus arrives.
Beeji finishes all the cooking for Mrs. Godbole and packs it in the tiffins. She tells her that she has to also go and prepare besan ladoos for Manisha as she is very fond of them. Just then Vidya comes and asks them if they have an extra gas. Both the ladies shake their head. Vidya says worriedly that her cylinder is exhausted and now when Prem comes back tired, she can't prepare food for him and has to ask him to eat outside even though his stomach gets upset easily. Beeji and Mrs. Godbole look at each other.
Meanwhile at the bus stand, the bus has still not arrived. Just then a man comes and tells everybody that due to a roadblock, no buses will come. Everybody disperses leaving Chandini standing alone. She tries hailing autos, but no autos stop. Finally an auto stops , but he tells Chandini that she has to pay the return fare as well because he won't get any customers from the area. Chandini is reluctant, but because there is no other choice she climbs into the auto.
Beeji gives a tiffin dibba to Vidya who is relieved and thanks the both of them. Beeji tells her that she has to go to prepare besan laddoos for her granddaughter otherwise she will surely get very angry. Vidya is confused and tells her that Chandini never gets angry at all. Beeji clarifies that it is not Chandini but her other granddaughter Manisha. She tells Mrs. Godbole and Vidya that when Chandini and Manisha get together, then they make such a hulla that the whole mohalla will get up. She fondly tells them that when Manisha was born, she was such a fair and beautiful child and there was huge celebrations in the mohalla because Ranjit Kapoor's daughter looked just like her Beeji. Beeji then comes back to the present and scolds Vidya and Mrs. Godbole for engaging her in idle conversation when Chandini has already probably met Manisha and here she has tons of things to get ready.
Chandini tells the autodriver to drive faster as she is in a hurry. The driver says he knows a shortcut which will take them in 10 minutes. However unfortunately they are stopped by a policeman who scolds the autodriver for not seeing a No Entry sign. He orders the driver to pay Rs. 300 as fine. The autodriver asks Chandini to pay the money as she was the one in a hurry. Chandini indignantly tells him that it is his fault, he took them past a No Entry sign and why should she pay the money. The policeman is in no mood to listen and orders them to pay or otherwise the driver has to go to the station.
Chandini decides to call Amy to help her out. She asks the driver to wait for a second while she goes to a Phone booth to call her friend. The driver asks her why she doesn't have a mobile in this age and hands her his mobile! Chandini dials Amy's number. At the same time, Sheeba who is waiting for Chandini in the coffee shop also dials Amy's number, but it comes busy. She gets frustrated. Chandini gets through to Amy and explains her the problem. Amy says not to worry and that she will be there in some time with the money. She also tells Chandini that Sheeba had called and that she better go fast, otherwise Sheeba might get tired and leave. Chandini thanks her and tells the driver that her friend will be coming soon. The driver refuses to let her go saying what if her friend doesn't come. Chandini can't take it anymore and burst into tears saying that she told him she was in a hurry and how does he know the agony of being separated from a loved one. She asks him what he would do if he lost a loved one. The driver and policeman look at each other guiltily and alarmed and the driver tells Chandini to go on and he will wait for her friend. Chandini thanks him and leaves.
Sheeba is waiting for Chandini for a long time. Finally frustrated she tells that she cannot wait for Chandini all night. She pays the bill and leaves.
Meanwhile Chandini is running fast towards her destination with a very tensed expression on her face. Suddenly a car with bright headlights stuns her and she puts her hand in front to ward off the light. The driver of the car yells at her for not seeing properly and lo and behold Sheeba's face pops out of the rear window. Chandini is ecstatic to see Sheeba.
Romeo staggers into Beeji's kitchen loaded with bags. Beeji scolds him for being late, but Romeo takes out a big list and says that she had told him to bring so much saaman and that is why it took time. Looking at the list, He asks Beeji whether Manisha is moti, otherwise how else can she eat all these preparations. Beeji warns not to say anything bad about her Manisha otherwise she will give him such a jhaapad that all his hair which stands up will fall off. Just then Mrs. Godbole comes and tells Beeji that she is her partner in her kitchen and now she has come to assist Beeji. Romeo also puts his hands in the besan, but Beeji smacks him again and tells him to go wash his hands first. Romeo leaves grumbling.
A smiling Sheeba opens the door of the apartment to Chandini who calls out Mini didi excitedly and goes from room to room. But there is no sign of Manisha anywhere. Sheeba comes upto her and tells that Manisha chali gayi. Chandini is shocked and then Sheeba notices a letter on the corner table. Chandini reads out the letter in which Manisha tells her not to follow her anymore. She has no plans of ever coming back to Jalandhar and tells Chandini to leave her alone. Chandini is totally shocked and falls on the bed.

Preview of next episode: Beeji is lighting diyas all along the parapet to welcome Manisha and Romeo asks her she is decorating just like how Anarkali did for Salim on his return from war. Beeji corrects him and says it was not Anarkali, but Salim's mother Jodhabai. She says to Romeo that he cannot understand the love which a mother feels for a child. Beeji is holding a plate of besan laddooos when she sees Chandini walking dejectedly. She asks her where is Manisha and then says that probably because of more luggage she is coming in a taxi. Chandini with tears in her eyes turns to face her.
Well sorry to disappoint the IC fans, but today's episode was also quite boring. It dragged on and on. The only thing is that the mystery lady is not Kamini as I thought, but indeed Manisha. Now it remains as to when Chandini will meet her finally. And I want the Adi - Chandini romance to start soon! I'm tired of waiting for that.
