I think yes. This is just to create a contrast to strengthen their own motives. And always rounds about only one story, poverty. They just do not want to talk about a new Nobel prize winner or a great educational system etc.,

It is important that we collect all great and good stories (positive ones, not need to concentrate on -ve as the whole western world seems to be working on this) in many places. Internet is a great place to start followed by books.
