shaheed means not normal death

dying for someone else

just like soldiers die for our nation

its simply means if u want to sacrifice yourself for friendship you can do it ( he was angry wth Iccha's love for Tapasya over him)

the meaning has been nicely described above...but i would like to add one more appropriate word.

shaheed = martyr

so what he meant was...........if you want to be a martyr for the sake of your friendship, do go ahead.
