Cinevistaa to sue Karan Singh Grover for irregularly reporting to the sets of Dill Mill Gayye

Karan Singh Grover has his ex-wife and the producers of Dill Mill Gayye puzzled. Apparently, he used to tell his wife Shraddha Nigam before their separation (as reported by Mumbai Mirror, October 6) that he was leaving for a 9am shoot but would only reach the sets at 4pm.


Meanwhile, the production house suffered as Karan spent much less time shooting than he was committed to. Now, the producers, Cinevistaa, have filed a complaint against him with CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) and will sue him to cover their losses of about Rs 2 crore.

Karan would often turn up late or not reports to the sets, even though Shraddha thought he was diligently slaving over his shoots. Not so long ago, Shraddha called up Cinevistaa for some work and asked for Karan, only to learn that he hadn't shown up.

Cinevistaa's Managing Director, Sunil Mehta confirmed that his company has written to CINTAA complaining about Karan Grover. He said, "We've written to CINTAA telling them about Karan's behaviour and the fact that we plan to sue him. He used to come at 4pm for a 9am shift and would leave by 10pm. My company has suffered a loss of over Rs 2 crore. We definitely intend to sue him. Shraddha was scandalised when my son told her that he has not reported for work, when she thought he'd left for a 9am shift."


"At one point of time, we had thought of making a film with him as the lead actor. Now, Karan's film with Mukesh Bhatt is not happening. Ditto for his film with UTV. Success, fame, adulation and power went to his head, I guess." added Mehta.

We sent Karan a text message, but he remained unavailable for comment.

How do you shoot for a daily serial by coming so late on the sets?? And he had JDJ too but was still seen in DMG everyday. Interesting!

OMG! I really feel like it's not Karan's year! Well I hope everything settles down...If this article is to be believed then there is no chance of AR's return either! I know KaJen/AR fans want AR back but I seriously don't want Karan to come back anymore because I don't think he deserves to work for a production company which is just taking advantage of his situation and suing him for reasons that don't make sense!!!
As Reemz said...Things don't match up! I mean how can one be practically in every scene and only show up at 4pm to start the work...I am so confused! 😕

Ok this reminds me of other similar situations -
Same thing happened with Meri doli when Gaurav opted out of the show and the producers made up stories that he was always late on set and that he had fights with the production team all because the trps went down when he left the show

Also for Kumkum the production house started creating negative publicity for Juhi Parmar since the show was ending...Suddenly everything was blamed on Juhi Parmar.

So this is old cheap trick and not falling for it anymore!!!

Why?

Because now fans are complaining their lifes away asking for him to be back...Their show is not doing well... So this is one way of giving KSG max. negative publicity AND to earn money.

Otherwise, even if this is 100% true (which I am not denying... it is most probably true..) they chose not to sue him all these months? Al these months they did not terminate his contract?

they still wanted him back in DMG...they said 5-10 episodes, he'l be back...But something happens - and suddenly he's not coming back and is instead getting sued?

it's so obvious they are feeling bitter over the fact that the show is not running without KSG's presence & he probably refused to come back after they forced him to 'take a break' (he was probably insulted at their offer)
