Aryan and Karan get out of the car and walk towards the building
Ar - whatever you see in there, don't get freaked, and stay close to me ok
Karan nods his head while Aryan leads them inside
Part 36
Aryan speaks to the doctor for a while before leading Karan down the hallway, Karan looks around and sees several people yelling and screaming, he looks a bit wary, Aryan touches his arm gently, Karan looks at him and smiles, they continue walking until Aryan stops outside a room, he turns to Karan
Ar - do you want me to come with you?
Kar - no, you can wait outside
Ar - ok cool
Aryan stands aside, Karan puts his hand on the handle, he slowly turns it and pushes the door open, the room is white, no windows, no chairs, and just a small bench passing off as a bed, Karan takes a deep breath as he sees KK sitting lifelessly on the bench in the corner of the room, KK's back is against the wall with his face staring upwards at the ceiling, Karan holds back his tears and moves forward, he makes his way over to KK, he kneels in front of him and reaches out and touches KK's knee but KK doesn't budge, Karan's heart wrenches seeing him in this state, he takes another deep breath before speaking
Kar - KK...
KK still doesn't move
Kar - KK....
Still no reaction, Karan bites his bottom lip to stop the tears and reaches up to touch KK's face
Kar - Kunal..
This time KK reacts, Karan hadn't called him that since they were younger, he was so used to calling him KK that it seemed alien calling him by his proper name, KK moves his face downwards and stares at Karan as if he's trying to figure out who he is, Karan can't hold the tears back any longer, they begin flowing from his eyes, he leans closer now holding KK's face in his hands
Kar - don't you recognise me? I'm your brother, I'm Karan, please Kunal, say something, anything, please...
Karan leans forward with his head against KK's head, his tears still flowing, the tears fall on KK's hand, his eyes look down at them then back up at Karan, he faintly recalls what happened that night and remembers stabbing Karan, the memory is vivid now, he clearly sees stabbing the knife in to Karan's stomach and that is what jerks him back to reality, he moves back and looks at Karan anxiously, Karan pulls his hands away, he stands up looking confused, KK gets up from the bench still looking at Karan, he touches his face
KK - Karan...are you ok? I'm so sorry, I never meant to hurt you, I'm so sorry
KK pulls Karan towards him and hugs him, both are crying, Karan hugs him back
Kar - I'm fine KK, I'm ok, everything will be fine
Karan pulls away, he looks at KK and wipes his tears and wipes his own tears, he sits on the bench and gestures KK to sit beside him, KK does so, both just sit silently for a while
KK - how are you? last time I saw...
Kar - I'm ok, I was in a coma, woke up a few days back, can't believe its been three months
KK - it has? I don't know, it feels like years in here, how are mom and dad?
Kar - they're ok
KK - Tia? Aryan and Ria?
Kar - everyone's good
KK - what about Roshni?
Karan is silent, Aryan, who had entered the room upon hearing KK's voice, speaks
Ar - she's ok, not doing well, but she's ok
Karan and KK look up, KK gets up and hugs Aryan
Ar - its good to see you're finally better
KK - what were you saying about Roshni?
Ar - she's fine, she just sits around looking miserable all the time
KK feels sad, back at Aryan's house, Roshni is doing exactly what Aryan said, sitting in her room staring at a random spot on the wall, Kashish comes in to the room and tells her to liven up, Roshni rolls her eyes and waits for Kashish to leave, she gets up and sits at the computer, she surfs the internet and comes across an online radio show, she begins listening but thinks its rubbish and is about to turn it off until Tum Bin from Tum Bin plays, the song touches Roshni's heart and makes her cry, she takes out KK's photo from the drawer and leans back in the chair staring at the photo

Roshni recalls the day KK was taken to the mental hospital

Roshni's eyes are closed, her tears are flowing, she feels someone wipe her tears, she opens her eyes and sees KK smiling at her, she gets shocked, he holds her hand and pulls her to her feet and pulls her closer to him and begins dancing with her, he twirls her around, Roshni is smiling, her eyes closed, she opens them to look at KK only he's not there anymore, she looks around but the room is empty, Roshni cries and falls to the ground

Roshni holds the photo of Kk close to her and cries. Meanwhile at the Khanna Mansion, Karan has come back home, but there's no party as Karan asked Angad to postpone it, he is now sitting opposite Angad and Kripa in the living room
K - no
Kar - why?
K - because...its a bad idea...
Kar - a bad idea? mom KK needs us, he's already spent 3 months away from his family, he shouldn't have to spend anymore time alone
A - Karan I understand what you're saying, but KK...he doesn't do anything, he just sits there...
Kar - he's better now dad, he's fine now
Karan tells them what happened at the hospital
A - in that case then I agree, KK should come home
K - am I the only one who is sane around here? what if KK comes back and does something like this again?
Kar - how can you say that about your own son? I knew you always loved me a little bit more than him because we were closer, but mom...you're being ridiculous
K - all I know is I can't lose you again
Kar - but you're willing to lose KK?
Kripa is silent, Karan stands up
Kar - I don't care, I've already spoken to the doctor, I'm bringing KK home tomorrow
K - if you've already made the decision then why did you bother asking?
Kar - because I thought you'd be happy, but you're obviously not!
A - ok calm down both of you, Karan if you want to bring KK home, then that's fine, and Kripa, please, he's our son too, he needs us
K - I know, but I'm scared he'll do something drastic again
Kar - he won't mom
Kripa gets up, she begins pacing the room
K - how do you know? how can you definitely say he won't do anything? I mean your Kunal uncle was exactly the same, your dad kept thinking he'd changed but he never did, he always came back with the intention of destroying your dad
Angad looks at Kripa shocked, he shakes his head but Kripa continues
K - I can tell you, if he never knew he had a brain tumour and was dying, he would have come back to spoil things for your dad again, KK is exactly like him
A - ENOUGH!
Kripa gets startled, she looks at Angad's angry face and realises what she just said
K - Angad...I'm sorry...I wasn't thinking...
A - enough Kripa, you've said countless things about KK....but don't ever...EVER...say anything about my brother
Karan looks from Angad to Kripa and back to Angad
Kar - dad its ok, she didn't mean it
Angad looks at Karan
A - bring your brother home tomorrow, we'll have the party when he gets back, I'll inform everyone else
Kar - thanks dad
Karan hugs Angad and walks off, Angad is about to walk off but Kripa stops him
K - I'm sorry Angad...
A - I know...
Angad smiles a little then walks off. Elsewhere at the Bose Mansion Ria and Aryan are sitting comfortably in the living room watching tv, Aryan has he arm wrapped around her shoulder with he face close to her neck tracing his hand along the side of her face whispering occasionaly into her ear, Ria keeps smiling while trying to watch the tv when they hear fottsteps outside the room, Aryan jumps away as Prithvi enters the room, he smiles at them both and picks up a file and leaves, Ria looks at Aryan's facial expression and bursts out laughing, Aryan looks at her
Ar - what?
Ri - you're scared of dad!
Ar - what....no I'm...
Ri - yes you are! you were happily all over me but then dad came and you jumped away as if he was going to kill you if he saw us....we're engaged remember....dad wonn't care what we do...I can't believe you're scared of dad
Ar - I'm not scared of your dad! I can do what I want with you and I won't care if he sees....I can kiss you right now and not care if he or your mum walked in
Ri - yeah...sure
Ria gets up still laughing to leave the room and go see Tia when she feels Aryan turn her around and push her against the wall, he steps closer so their faces are almost an inch apart, they can feel their breaths on each other, he moved his face closer so his lips were by her ear, he starts whispering
Ar - now who's scared? I can hear your heart beating..fast...why's that Ria?
Ria somehow manages to clear her throat
Ri - someone might come...mum..Tia...dad...
Ar - so?
Aryan is now staring into her eyes, her eyes shy away from his but he makes her look at him, he inches closer to her making her close her eyes, when she thinks he's about to kiss her, she suddenly feels the warm air of his breath disappear, she opens her eyes and just catches him walking up the stairs leaving her feeling dazed and confused, she snaps out of it and runs after him, she finds him sitting on Tia's bed listening to her talk about Karan, he catches sight of Ria standing by the door, he grins to himself when Ria comes into the room and pulls him up
Ri - sorry Tia but your conversation can wait
Ria drags Aryan into her room, she shuts the door and turns to look at him while he acts like he hasn't done anything
Ar - what?
Ri - what is wrong with you?
Ar - I don't know what you're talking about?
Ria can see the smug smile on his face, she stops closer to him
Ri - what do you think? you can simply make me go weak in the knees anticipating a kiss and then just walk away?
Ar - you were the one saying your mum or dad might come...
Ri - yeah that didn't mean you could just leave me feeling confused!
Ria begins moving closer, Aryan can see the gap between them getting smaller, he can see the look on her face and decides to do what she isn't expecting, he steps forward taking hold of her by her waist pulling her closer to him and kisses her, Ria's taken aback at first but slowly her arms are wrapped around his neck, Aryan slowly pulls away
Ar - is that better now?
Ri - much
Aryan smiles, Ria moves closer burying her head in his shoulder, Aryan rested his chin on her head. Over at the Garewal Mansion Roshni is now in the living room, she hears Kashish come into the room, she looks up and sees her smiling, Kashish walks over and sits beside Roshni placing a hand on her knee, Roshni looks at her
R - what is it?
Ka - I have some news...I think you'll be happy hearing it
R - what?
Ka - KK's coming home
The news indeed made Roshni happy, she looks confused at first but then she smiles looking at Kashish
R - when?
Ka - tomorrow
R - how...I mean...
Ka - Karan went to see him....he's better now, Angad just called, they're bringing him home tomorrow
Before Kashish can say anything else Roshni gets up and runs out of the house, she somehow runs all the way to Angad's house, she knocks on the door, it opens, she faces Kripa but instead of making pleasentries Roshni pushes past her and runs upstairs, she finds Karan in his room standing by his cupboard, oblivious to her being there, Karan opens his cupboard and is about to take out a shirt when he feels someone hugging him, he slowly turns and faces Roshni, he smiles and hugs her back before pulling away, he can tell she's been crying, he wipes her tears away and makes her sit down, both are silent for a few minutes
R - thanks
Kar - for what?
R - for bringing KK home tomorrow
Kar - he's my brother, I still can't believe they sent him away, but everything will be ok now
R - thanks....
Kar - its ok
Karan hugs Roshni, she leaves after they chat for a while, both are anticipating KK's arrival
