Was that not enough!

Was that not enough that Keshu was bed ridden by the stress caused due to his son's behaviour. Now Ketki is shot by the rukus caused by her sons. It is true that when problems come, they come from all quarters. What is going to happen now ? Will Ketki survive and if yes then would she take her sons to the court ? Very doubtful for a mother like her who could not slap her son when he said this "Agar khana thodi der se khainge to mar to nahi jaenge" for his father. That was the most shameful thing a son could say for his father. I agree ketan being greedy and wanting success quickly. He played all tactics, good or bad to get what he wanted. He could even be forgiven for this gun shot as it was caused due to the struggle between him and the goons. But should he be forgiven for what he said about his ailing father?
What do you people think, which is a bigger sin on ketan's part, getting his mother shot or saying those words for his father.

This whole thing with Ketan is yuck...yes he is greedy, he wanted to head the busines, but once he got that...you would think that he would not become such a low lying dirty jerk where he does not care about anybody, his grandmother, parents, siblings or his wife and the kid he is going to father. I understand soap needs drama, but this way overboard...nothing is knew...everything typically been seen and done before. Considering the doctor kept on insisting that they couldn't delay the treatment than what is the point if Keshu gets to eat or not...he is not going to get better any day soon. May be death would a better option for Keshu and Ketki...whether at hands of their son wouldn't matter. What is the point of being alive and seeing the face of the low down jerk Ketan is?

Even if Ketan can be forgiven for the gunshot as it was caused because of the struggle, Ketan should not be forgiven for the words he said about his ailing father. Even guests are treated with more respect.

I agree, sometimes it seems like when problems come, they seem to come altogether. This situation about Ketan not wanting to spend on his ailing father is something which we can see in real life too. Some children have genuine reasons such as financial constraints, but others feel that as the parents are already old, no point in spending too much on them. Its sad!
I would hope that the creatives let Keshu and Ketki have their dignity. Keshu has to come out of this paralysis and both of them should walk out of that madhouse! The creatives should not drag this issue of Keshu and now Ketki being unwell. There has been enough humiliation, no more! But honestly, even if Keshu and Ketki come up in life again, the pain of betrayal and rejection by their own children will never go away. This is the greatest sorrow for any parent!

I agree with you that soaps need drama, but do they really need to have only black and white characters, can't they sketch some characters as grey. Initially I liked Ketan's character who was not only ambitious but a bit over- ambitious, compared to the very laid back Mehul. He made wrong decisions and was humiliated publicly and wanted to take revenge. Till that point it was fine. He could have proved his point by asking for his share and then proving his worth. Bitterness still remaining in him. But they changed him into an ugly character by doing illegal things, joining hands with goons, and lastly taking advantage of his father's faith on him. And now all his feelings for his father washed away, it's bizarre.

Yes we would like to see the grey shades, but creatives do not create such characters. There should have been gradual turning of Ketan from a ambitious young man to a power hungry, ruthless characters and like wise the turn around of Mehul's character due to what was happening around him. But alas....the soap likes the complete black and white copies so we the viewers are left with frustration, feeling is it worth watching the episode. To tell the truth I have not watched today's episode, just read the update. I feel no desire to see Ketan and mehul's degradation..

Hey Kanta,

Even I don't watch it regularly, neither can think with such plots, though the story idea of old age couples is very appealing.

I agree with you that creatives either show complete black or white characters, nothing in between and leaving the viewers frustrated. The sudden downhill butchering of Ketan's character was extreme. Atleast Mehul's character is spared till now. Though the development of his character looks a bit justified till date but with the things happening around it won't take long to go down the drain.

One more character that looks like is going to be butchered is that of Mehul's wife. If you see a normal woman whose brother in law had taken away everything in which her husband also had a share, she would be bitter. The episode when she asks her husband to keep all the money he got by selling his mother's jewellery was a bit overboard. It was fine till she was answering back to her MIL, that they need the money for their child and for starting the business, but the last nail in the coffin was when she had her back towards Pallavi and was smiling cunningly. It would have been better if she was shown frustrated rather smiling cunningly. Another vamp in the making.
