I am pretty sure it is not a Jerry Maguire remake. The story was written by Jaideep Sahni who wrote Chak De India, Khosla ka Ghosla, and Company.

So I don't think he would make a blatant rip-off. Plus Jerry Maguire is not a black comedy. I think I also read somewhere that the story takes place over the course of one day - so that doesn't fit Jerry Maguire either.

Out of all people who have attempted this Ranbir looks the most convincing as a Sardar. I feel like it definitely has nothing to do with Jerry Maguire and I hope it is a good film.
