If all goes well, Kareena Kapoor will be seen in Anurag Kashyap's next, Bombay Velvet as the leading lady. Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is helping Anurag with the script and giving creative inputs.

Boyle has signed on Aamir Khan and is in talks with Shah Rukh Khan. Bombay Velvet is a Mumbai trilogy produced by TV18.

Excited

Said Kareena, "Yes, I have been approached by Anurag. I am reading the script and meeting him for a proper narration next week.

I love his genre of cinema, as it's something I haven't done before. I saw Black Friday and found it intense, raw and edgy. I love that kind of cinema as an actress, it gives me that much more to perform."

Kareena is now shooting for Karan Johar's remake of Stepmom. Kareena's film Main Aurr Mrs Khanna released yesterday, but the actress didn't promote it much.

A source close to her said, "Kareena signed the film for money. She was paid a whopping amount for it with which she bought two beautiful flats in Bandra." (I believe it, lol)

Set in 1940s

Bombay Velvet, directed by Anurag Kashyap, will be based on a series of real life incidents that happened in Mumbai (then Bombay) in the 1940s. The film has three leads.

While John Abraham and Aamir Khan are said to have been finalised, Shah Rukh is in talks for the third lead.

John will play a real-life hero of the masses and is working on changing his contemporary mannerisms for the film.

I don't know why they keep talking about SRK being in the film when Anurag himself said it was false.

Anyway John Abraham is confirmed, and Aamir will be approached after the script is ready. I am really excited for this one. It seems like it is Anurag's pet project.

Yeah Anurag has been talking about how he is worried since this is his first big budget film. So he is going with bigger names than he has in the past. Whatever I have read about the film from his blog seems really interesting. Whenever it releases it would be my most awaited film.

I am not sure how soon this will happen though, because he is supposed to make a film with Kunal Kapoor called Doga. And then there were talks about him reviving Allwyn Kalicharan.

I dont think Aamir will sign his film
