The festival of Dhanteras is the first day of five days long Deepavali festival. This festival is also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanwantari Trayodasi. Dhanteras festival comes on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartik. This festival is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi. On Dhanteras Goddess Laxmi is worshiped for wealth & well being.
