Director Subhash Ghai turned a year older yesterday and what better way to start the day than seek divine blessings.

The thespian accompanied by wife Rehana and 4-year-old daughter Muskaan headed for the Sai Baba temple in Khar to offer their prayers, a ritual the family has been following over years now.

When quizzed about the 'years covered' he says, "I feel as young as 25, as matured as 32, as successful as 37, as intelligent as 42, as intellectual as 47, as wise as 52 and as wealthy as 57. Now you keep guessing…" Our records say 64.

It was a hectic day at work as he landed up at his Bandra office to be greeted by heaps of bouquets sent in by friends and fans.

The birthday boy was in for a surprise when good friend Naseeruddin Shah dropped in and hugged him tight before indulging in business talks behind closed doors.

There were no lavish parties on the itinerary and Ghai spent his day settling matters for his upcoming institute, Whistling Woods International Institute for Films, Television and Media Arts, located near Film City Goregaon.

Says Ghai, "I'm working hard as I'm turning into an educationist now. Our faculty members have come from Los Angeles and we
are sorting things out before we open our doors for admissions in a few months' time."
