Can the mentors pick best singer?

I keep hearing that the public is not sophisticated enough to decide who sings the best and hence there should not be public voting, my question is can the mentors come up with one name for the best singer in SRGM Challenge 2005?

I Bet if you ask the four mentors their pick for the best singer, each one will come up with a different name, possibly some one from their own Gharana.

Like beauty, singing is in the ears of the beholder!

I have my favorite and at times I personaly would not pick them as the best on a particular day. For most people, picking the best is more than the singing. It may include stage presense, looks, personality, where they come from, what sex they are, their body language and the last thing may be their singing. If we could never have seen the contestants but were only able to hear their voice and then come up with a name for the best singer, then I am sure the final 3 would have been different.

Also, I believe may be one or two of this batch will ever make it big in the future. I think only Nihira has the chance of making it really big in the callibre of Alka, Lata, Asha.

These mentors are giving these contestants false hopes by saying that they will give them a chance the sing in the future. If this does not happen very soon I doubt it will ever happen.

Any thoughts?
