My belief is that regional voting is a reality. Poeple of a certain state definitely push their candidate. Lets see how the girls fare on that:
Neha: gets Delhi votes. If Dilpreet was around, Neha would have had tough competition for votes, but Neha is the only girl from the Delhi belt now.
Yashashree: Maharashtra. No other girl to compete for her votes.
Meenal: MP votes. She even mentioned it once, about Indore votes. She stays in Mumbai now, but I am not sure how many regional Marathi votes she'll get.
Monali, Jolly AND Antara: All three vying for West Bengal votes. This is where I feel the catch lies. For all you know, Yashashree might be safe tomorrow and one out of Monali or Antara might get voted out.
Let me clarify that I know that a whole lot of people vote purely on talent, singing and performance. I support that, I am the same. But, unfortunately, there ARE people out there who vote for singers from their state, irrespective of how they perform. THOSE are the votes I am talking about here.
To give an example, Sandeep is pretty safe in the boys for a long time to come. Apart from the fact that he is pretty good (ok, ignore the first gala), the whole of Rajasthan must be backing him.
