No....that's not the reason. Apparently, her mother was just using her for money, so Abhishek helped Rakhi get out of her situation and leave all ties with her mother. This is what Rakhi said on RKS and in an interview too.

But still Rakhi used 2 shout at others wen dey talk ill abt her mom.Once her mom told tht Abhishek was just using Rakhi 4 money.Rakhi said tht she decided not 2 invite her mom 4 her wedding after wht she did during d 1st stage of swayamvar.Wht did her mom do there?
