Excerpts from the Interview:
Being an actress who is known for her glamour and beauty how do you manage the shower of compliments pouring on you?
Not sounding too modest, I would say that I appreciate when somebody find me beautiful. The opinion of beauty differs from person to person, some may find me beautiful while others may not. I've lived away from the country and I was also not a part of the industry until I decided to take up acting. For whatever reason people here have accepted me, I'm grateful for that.
Do you feel yourself adjustable to the environment here?
After being a part of this industry, I've been through a learning process. I've learnt the etiquette of the place and also the style of the industry. The people here have been really very co-operating. I took some time but gradually I've started feeling at ease here. Bollywood is very welcoming. On the strength of my hard work, I'm doing well.
Do you consider 'Boom' as the wrong decision of your career?
As I've said, I'm not from the industry and was not aware about anything relating to films. 'Boom' happened due to my lack of knowledge about cinema. I also didn't know what was the suitable film to make debut with. I was also a novice about choice of films. But now after doing a few films, I've learnt how it works here. But it is certainly not a wrong decision as I got to work with Mr Bachchan there.

To tell you the truth I was never interested in acting. I was happy doing modeling. When Boom came through, I decided to give it a try. After that I bagged two South Indian films. The films did good business. Getting confident I decided to try hands in Bollywood films. This time I was lucky enough to work in 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and 'Sarkar'. I was conscious about the project and it did the trick for my career.
You've been received well in the film. How do you feel about it?
I'm very happy for tasting success in Bollywood with my second film itself. David Dhawan is very sweet and I enjoyed working with him a lot. The film also got into controversies due to Salman-Aishwarya tapes, but it had the strength to come out as a hit.
How was it working with Ram Gopal Verma?
He is one director who was a clear perception about what he wants from his actor. I got to know him while I was doing 'Sarkar'. Not I'm working with him again in 'Sholay' remake. I play the character who of a young widow.
Are you interested in continuing with films?
I'm happy with the progress I'm making and after a hit in my credit, I surely look forward to work here. I'm not comparing myself with anybody and working positively.
How much do you see yourself progressing as an actress?

What are the other films that you've bagged?
I'm doing a Raj Kanwar's film with Akshay Kumar and also Anil Sharma's film. There is Ramuji's Sholay and David Dhawan's next with Salman and Govinda. These films are very important for me.
