Hi I am also a great CB fan and love the posts which you guys present here. Some are really educative..!! Today's CB episode was totally disappointing..more so ..just because amma has sown the seeds of varnasankar varis..in Vaishali's mind...the creatives are going out of the way to hype the issue...
To the extent that a vernasankar kid and his mother is present in RP's house and the panditji insults them telling they have made the daan apivitra...!!! This is sooooo ridiculous..!!
What amazed me was..how come Dadi was a mute spectator today? She has always reinforced the fact that Purohit parivar never believed in cast..her husband made a lower cast man do puja in their temple..bla ..bla bla..and today when Dev opposed panditji's decision..Vaishali rebuked Dev..(being the daughter-in-law of a pious unbiased RP.)..dadi never spoke a word..!!
They had made Radhika do Dev's aarti during mutt opening.( when the entire RP family members were present)...even rock kanha's jhoola in front of Vrindavan basi..by someone..who is neech jaat ( as per amma)..no one objected it..not even Vaishali..how come all of a sudden..they are all about varnasankar and neech jaat..
I think the creatives..are at their wits end..thinking..whats twists to give..to the story till Ra Dev's marraige..as if making Shashtru ji sell their purkho ki murti and his poonyata was not enough!!

so true arpit- it is so dumb- if u look into the sastras, the jaat of the girl is not given such importance as she taken on the gotra of her husband on marriage. this entire varnasankar thing is so twisted and has no roots in hindu sastra- maybe it is a crosspollinated idea that took root after foreign invasion of India that I, from the South am unaware of.

Absolutely...they are showing a 21st century story ..based in New Delhi and Vrindavan..its not a setting of 17th or 18th century..that the creatives a coming up with weird ideas..of varna shankar..selling punyata..etc..etc..if they had to highlight these drawbacks of our old social systems..they should have made the whole storyline..back in the 18th century..with proper sets and costumes...not an USA returned guy with laptop..bari bahu with strapless cholis...!!! what a confused bunch these creatives...!!😕😕

Excellent post arpit, I totally agree! You make great points. Creatives do what is convenient for them. They don't respect audiences' intelligence and most importantly, they don't do their homework before writing such ridiculous plots!

Good point Arpit. What we are aware of generally is that once married the girl comes into the husband's gotra & their child will automatically be of the father's gotra only. Nobody bothers about the mother's side. These creatives really need to wake up and look around. In these days so many Brahmins marry people of their choice whether they belong to Brahmin category or not. Their so called twists are silly.

The other day when Sushil mentioned abt Chandrahaar too I was a bit disappointed when Dadi went ahead and told Shastriji abt that custom. But I understood her feelings- that she doesn't want any harm to befall this marriage unlike the previous time when they didn't do it and Dev was left unhappy. Every human falls prey to such thoughts however rational they may be, when it comes to the welfare of their loved ones. Chacha attacked exactly that sentiment.
But today I was truly disappointed in her when she didn't utter a single word even when Dev was trying to oppose the whole thing. I was expecting her to say "VAISHALI" in a stern voice and put a stop to this nonsense then and there . Always loved the way she says "Susheeeeeeeeel" and shuts him up..
God let Dadima not fall prey to these evil characters and let her remain strong and supportive.
Hope she is always there to put these evil doers in their place. She is the only one who can support Radhika and Dev unconditionally, bina kisi shart ke in PB....

Arpit good post.

This is really frustrating this show should use this as an opportunity to bring people together instead of showing these sorts of ideas. Sorry if I offend anyone but we are all human beings..no one is better or lesser than another...
My 2 cents don't mean to offend anyone

Varnsankar is not an issue, they(creatives) just want to stretch this sequence as much as they can.
I have a doubt that what Vaishali will do if Radhika will give birth to a daughter? what will happen to this Rajprohit's throne ?

In fact if she favors this marriage then she would have a chance to become grandmother.

sorry if this comment has already been posted.

Very well said Aviannya..I think we are past all these petty issues..though I must say these..social issues..cast difference still exist in India..more in villages..or amongst..people..2-3 generations old.. Educated people..have come out.... considerably from these hangups of cast and creed..Hence amma's cursing Rads about her jaat kul is in a way justified...we do expect her to change her views...with modern times...they never do.. But Vaishali??..No excuses here...As someone has already posted...even now in India after a girl's marriage her gotra changes..and she becomes..the same gotra as her husband...consequently her children....At least that bit of knowledge I have regarding our social norms...and I am sure most people of India too...Why are these creatives..CREATING...distorted issues..and giving the wrong message..??..
