Britain's luxury organization Walpole has recently selected some future 'super brands'. The award of women's wear goes to Britt Linter who has designed an outfit for Mrs. Prime Miniter Sarah Brown's meeting with Obama last month. Other award winners include children's wear brand Caramel Baby & Child, men's swimsuit brand Orlebar Brown, leisurewear brand Pyjama Room and men's custom shoes brand Lodger Footwear.
This is the third year that Walpole held this award, aiming to make those promising brands as well known as Walpole's members, which include Harrods, Jimmy Choo and Burberry, just to name a few.
The award winners will receive one year's free expert guidance from Walpole's luxury brands managing team. And this year more than 50 brands have got such chance.
According to John Ayton, Chairman of Bremont Watch and also founder of this program, "all nominees must have at least a sales volume of two million pounds. Many companies told me that it was extremely difficult for a firm to grow from two million pounds to five millions. These brands have been rather successful in Britain, but they need to start to expand overseas. Therefore we choose those brands with potentials and offer them supports."
