Just around a few weeks back we had brought our patrons the news that Bollywood's numero uno actress, Katrina Kaif, is essaying a cameo in Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd's BLUE because of her friendship with the team and makers of the film.

And its once again this trait of hers that has made her say 'yes' to Priyadarshan's DE DANA DAN.In an interview Katrina has revealed that even though she does not have a plum role in DE DANA DAN (which has around 22 characters), but she agreed to do the film because of her friendship with Akshay Kumar, who is one of the lead actors of the film.

Moreover she wanted to be a part of Priyadarshan's gang of the iconic comedy HERA PHERI, which was assembling after a long hiatus. And then there was this very interesting role where she had to go 'desi', in an Amrapali type character that fascinated her, but the first and foremost reason was of course friendship, because of which she agreed to do the film. Katrina, once again you prove that you are a friend indeed, as you are a friend in need!
