I think when a thread gets reported for whtever reason it may be, its up to the Viewbie to use objective reasoning to determine whether the post is offensive or not...

and as far as reporting is concerned ........if i report to u for closing down akashdeep fans club cuz i get offended cuz tht man dun deserve such fans .....or the praises ......wud u lock it ......??

i know theer shud b sum limit to bashing or words used shud not b obscene but here first time i m seeing in a forum tht before any discussion in the topic or any argument between ppl .....the topics r getting closed and thts too the language n words used against is i n o way indecent!!

if there wil b no groups , i dun think there wil b any fun left in teh forum!!

@ Meena and Bugger- I don't close topics just because they are reported. but only if they are violating IF Rules.. That Mac Inspired thread was closed because it was a IF copyright violation.. a new rule of If where merging and morphing is not allowed. But you won't listen to me so just wait until a a mod reviews the thread.

I read many views and appreciate the maturity and respect shown by members. 😛

The rule to disallow morphing was incorporated by Vijay ( admin) to avoid copyright violations and distasteful & disgusting morphing which took place in the past. It was becoming rampant to use tv stars pics and morph in objectionable manner. Naturally the fans felt disturbed and objected. I have seen such pics and some of them were obscene and may be some of the older members too had seen. Importantly all rules are uniformly implemented across all forums so IJSMB cannot be different.

The DT of IJSMB and I would like to say that most members at IJSMB are judicious in differentiating between humour and insult 👏. See there are members who are very sensitive and get provoked at slighest provovation and they only take yes or no for an answer. Its not possible to explain everyone, everytime what can be or what cannot be insulting or distasteful, everyone has differing tolerance levels .

JK and Aman did concede to your suggestions regarding use of words etc, so what is reasonable and can be met was done. But morphing for now is a NO.

The need for following uniform rule is required so lets follow rules and maintain decorum. Hope you all would cooperate.

@ Bugger- As for the Poor aman thread it was closed because

asking a fan to "De-fan" themselves def found some of fans of that celeb insulting. I wound't have noticed this until someone reported the post. And then many of you were chatting.

I'll ask Jot to take a look at the thread and see if we can open it.
