A few stray thoughts ..........
Every reader/viewer stays put in his seat because of either the storyline or the strong characterisation or both.
AKA started out very well. The viewers were few in the beginning but remained glued because of curiosity and the newness of the story itself.
Adit initially was as a loving husband to Vidya. A sudden call turns his world upside down. He has a daughter from another woman who was in effect is actually a one night stand. His marriage suffers a huge jolt and it is on the rocks. He becomes weak in the eyes of the viewer because he couldn't resist temptation. Vidya got everyone's sympathy.
Adit starts making one mistake after the other. But the worst was wanting to keep Angel in the orphanage. He lost all his friends on the forum and everyone backed Vidya. The viewers being mainly female sympathised with her.
But soon Adit changed and his understanding of Antara was appreciated by all and as his love for her became evident, his sympathisers increased. He came out looking at least like a caring person.
Abhi began to grow too. Vidya who had become the outraged heroine changed and evolved. She began to understand Antara and then love her.
The road along which the viewer walked was smooth. The story was moving forward at a good pace. But lately the pace has slowed, the characters are becoming weak. A bitter blame game has started and we are hurtling downwards with no chance to lift ourselves. One serious problem in the lives of the Vermas and everything is falling apart. How weak the characters are today? Adit cant see reason and is accusing Vidya wrongly and Vidya get heartbroken all over again.......... We have Sameer helping out, but where is that dingbat of a sister sister?
We have reached a stage since last Friday, when everything is as it is. Bitter parents, worried Abhi, lost Antara and obnoxious neighbours. Is the story moving on? No it isn't. If anything it's moving sideways.
This is not a regular run of the mill story or serial.............. so why such inane tricks of the trade?
It's just my POV...................
