Prateik Babbar is seeing Shazahn Padamsee

Shazahn Padamsee and Prateik Babbar are the newest B-Town pair. Though both are part of a group of pals who hang out together, the two share a special bond.

Their little secret became public when Prateik began dropping in on the sets of Shimit Amin's Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year, a Yash Raj flick in which Shazahn makes her B-Town debut.



Eyebrows raised

Says a source, "Knowing Yash Raj's penchant for secrecy, its films' sets and shootings are out of bounds. It is only very few who are allowed entry because of the closeness of the people involved in the shoot. Prateik's visits on the sets certainly raised eyebrows."

Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar's daughter Shazahn has done several ads and also acted in and produced the play, Unspoken Dialogues. Prateik, Raj Babbar and the late Smita Patil's son, fetched accolades for his role in Abbas Tyrewala's Jaane Tu and will next be seen in Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghat.

Adds the source, "The youngsters have a lot in common - both come from families of actors. Moreover, the two started off in Bollywood around the same time. They also stay close by to each other in Bandra and share several common interests."

When asked about Prateik, Shazahn says, "He is a close friend but Prateik never visited me on the sets of Rocket Singh. Even my parents didn't come for the shoot."

She adds, "I have known Prateik for eight years. We are in the same age group; I am 21, he is 22 and we are part of a group that hangs out together. In fact, our families go a long way back. My dad not only knew Prateik's mom but also knows her sister (Manya)."

Prateik says, "As far as I can remember, I have not been on the sets of Rocket Singh. Shazahn and I know each other well. In fact, we've grown up together."
