Dr Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) & Dr Riddhima (Jennifer Winget)

Admittedly, Armaan and Riddhima's love story has taken the clich turns almost all filmy romances do... First 'nafrat', then slowly 'pyaar', then one big fight and all that finally leading to what we have today: Indian TV's "Most Romantic Jodi"! Two amazingly sketched characters portrayed by two extremely talented actors, in one of India's most popular and loved youth shows - DILL MILL GAYYE!

The magic of Armaan & Riddhima's love is something anyone would fail to successfully put into words... Their love makes the viewer fall in love... In love with them and in love with their love! When they cry, we cry. When they're happy, we're happy. When they're in love, we're in love! And that's exactly why we love them!

Karan & Sukirti Kandpal's chemistry, as Armaan-Riddhima, had left many fans spellbound... Both of them proved to be such amazing actors and did complete justice together to the characters of Armaan & Riddhima. However, Sukirti's journey with 'Dill Mill Gayye' ended in April 2009 (prior to which Shilpa Anand, who also played Riddhima, left the show in May 2008) and April 2009 was when it was time for Jennifer Winget to step in as DMG's 3^rd Dr Riddhima Gupta!

What makes "KaJen" (Karan-Jennifer) so special is that their working relationship goes back a long way. They had earlier worked together as a romantic couple in 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay' and were very much loved as a couple then also. During the time they spent together shooting KZK, they'd become very close friends. Later, when Karan hosted the reality show 'Zara Nachke Dikha' in 2008, Jennifer happened to be a participant on the show... and now in 2009, we are getting to see the magic of Karan & Jennifer return to our screens once again... and this time they'll be portraying our already much loved characters in love ' Armaan & Riddhima!

Character: Dr Armaan Malik / Actor: Karan Singh Grover

Karan Singh Grover (born 23^rd February 1982) spent his childhood in Saudi Arabia and moved to Mumbai in the year 2000 to pursue a degree and career in Hotel Management. However, after bagging the label of the "Most Popular Model" at the Gladrags contest in 2004, acting became a natural progression. Karan debuted on our TV screens with Ekta Kapoor & MTV's 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi', after which he was a part of many projects including 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay', 'Solah Singaar', 'CID', 'Princess Dolly aur Uska Magic Wand' and 'Parrivaar'. However, it was with the launch of StarOne & Cinevistaas 'Dill Mill Gayye' in August 2007, that he shot to instant fame!

His portrayal as Dr Armaan Malik has won him many million fans across the globe and today, his good looks, charming personality and immensely natural talent have assured his position as the most popular and loved star on Indian television. KSG married actress Shraddha Nigam in a private ceremony, held at Goa, on 2^nd December 2008.

Along with DMG, Karan has also been a part of a couple of reality shows... Such as StarOne's dance show 'Zara Nachke Dikha' [July-September 2008] which he hosted (interestingly, Jennifer was a contestant in this show also!), and Sony/BBC's 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3' [Feb-May 2009] in which he participated as a contestant and reached the position of 2nd Runner Up.

We know he will keep on making us proud with everything he does, because he is our 'armaan' for a reason...and he will always be our one & only winner! We love you Karan, keep rocking!

Character: Dr Riddhima Gupta / Actor: Jennifer Winget

Jennifer Winget (30^th May 1985): After acting in small roles in movies such as 'Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya' and 'Kuch Na Kaho', Jennifer made her television debut on the comedy show 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom'. Later, she went on to being a part of many serials such as 'Kkusum' and 'Kahin To Hoga'. She also appeared opposite KSG in 'Kasauti Zindagii Kay' and played the lead role in 'Sangam'. Her other work on TV includes having participated in the dance reality show 'Zara Nachke Dikha' (which KSG hosted). Jennifer started shooting for 'Dill Mill Gayye', as Dr Riddhima, in April 2009 and is already living up to our expectations and doing a very impressive job portraying the character. She has already proved to be one of Indian television's most talented and adorable actresses and the audience has welcomed her as our Dr Riddhima with open arms!

We wish Jennifer [who we DMG'ians lovingly refer to as our "Moyna"] all the luck and we will definitely be supporting her all we can. God bless you Jennifer, and thank you for taking on the role of our Riddhima!

DMG is going through a very interesting track with AR right now.... I know its going to be hard and testing our patience thinking how long we may have to wait for KaJen romance/love scenes to return...but just remember Sabar Ka Fal Hamesha Meetha Hota Hai 😉 loll...It'll all be worth it as when AR come out the other end of this track, their love will be even stronger & the romance will be even better! Is Karan Jennifer's Love?

IS KARAN SINGH JENIFFER'S LOVE?

Karan Singh's (Sharad of Kasautii Zindagii Kay) romance with longtime girlfriend, Barkha Bisht is well known. But recently, the actor has been in the news for getting cosy with his Kasautii co-star, Jennifer (Sneha).

Car pals

"The two are often seen together, even after shoots. In fact, these days they come in one car and go back together too. He has a girlfriend, but I am sure that doesn't stop him from getting close to someone else," revealed a source on the show.

When contacted, Karan laughed it off and said, "I am great friends with Jenny. In fact, she and Barkha are very good friends. All this talk about me getting close to her is rubbish. I share a more comfortable equation with her knowing her easygoing relationship with Barkha."

But what about the cars ride that they share? "Yes, it is true that we go back in the same car sometimes. However, the ride ends at the toll naka; that is where she drops me off, so I don't have to walk the distance. I can't believe people speculate and read so much into such simple things."

Barkha's my love

The actor states that his relationship with Barkha hasn't changed a bit, and good news is around the corner for both of them.

"Barkha is very much the love of my life. Just a few days ago, our parents started talking, and I hope and pray everything falls into place. Marriage is something both of us are looking forward to, but there is no need to rush into it."

Strong faith

Apart from Kasautii, Karan also plays one of the leads in Karbon Kopy.

When we contacted Barkha to check if she had heard about her boyfriend's close proximity with Jennifer, she said, "Karan is too sweet and simple to do something like this.

Usually, I go and pick him up from the sets, but I know he travels with Jenny, sometimes. I don't think that should be an issue at all, since I know her well."

What does she think about settling down and marriage with Karan? "I think it's too early to tie the knot, but yes, our parents are talking and I think it is a good start to the process. Also this talk about Karan and Jenny is baseless and made up by someone."

Karan-Barkha love story

The duo met during the talent hunt of Balaji's show on MTV- Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi.

On screen they played the roles of Arnav and Udita who didn't get along really well on screen, but off screen they hit it off amazingly well. They hit it off instantly as friends and soon became lovers

Karan Singh's split with his long-time girlfriend Barkha Bisht made headlines some time ago. Now the buzz goes that Karan has found love again. He is allegedly dating Jennifer. Jenny (as she is fondly called) and Karan play the on-screen couple in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. "Karan and Jenny were very comfortable with each other right from day one," said a co-actor.

Apparently, it was Jenny who lent Karan her shoulder to cry on after he broke up with Barkha. It was probably at that time that they realised what they share isn't mere friendship. People have seen Jenny and Karan walking into various restaurants, holding hands, having quiet dinners.

We spoke to Karan about the new woman in his life. "Jenny is special. She is one of the greatest people I've known. I do confide in her, as she is a great friend. As of now, it's too early for me to fall in love again. I've just broken up and that has caused me a lot of pain," said Karan.

But is there a possibility of this 'friendship' developing into a deeper relationship in future? Currently, it's just Jenny who is shooting for Kasauti... Karan's track in the show is over for now. "Karan is a dear friend and off late he is going through a lot of stress. As a friend, I'm always there for him. I know about Barkha and Karan's break-up. In fact Karan told me that Barkha is dating Indraneil Sengupta, her co-star in Pyar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shyaam. I guess people are talking about us because we're both great friends and, above all, we're single," says Jennifer. Karan says that losing his love to another man hasn't disillusioned him about love.

"I still believe in love. I know that it takes time to get over a relationship. But life has to go on," he says pragmatically. Eyewitnesses have spotted the Karan and Jennifer together at various night clubs and parties.

But the duo prefers to maintain the cliched 'good friends' stand.

Karan and Jennifer dating?

The latest gossip doing the rounds is that Barkha Bisht is dating her Pyaar ke do naam… co-star Indraniel. The actress who was previously dating Karan Singh, her former co-star from Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi is now showering all her attention on Indraneil.

The couple was spotted looking very cosy together at a suburban theatre in Mumbai recently. And that's not all, for Indraneil's birthday, Barkha, along with the rest of the cast got not one but two cakes for him. Why? Well, they were sticking to the serial's theme of past and present birth. So one cake for each life. Everybody noticed the sizzling chemistry between the two during the celebrations. When someone on the sets asked Barkha what gift she was giving Indraneil, she quickly replied, "I am dancing for him on the sets. What more would he want?" Wonder what Indraneil's girlfriend singer Pratichee Mohapatra has to say about all this?

Unlike Pratichee, Barkha's ex Karan has nothing to feel bad about because there are strong rumours that he and his on-screen wife from Kasauti… Jennifer Wignet are seeing each other. The two were even offered the chance of participating in Nach Baliye 2, but Karan declined stating he didn't have the dates.

Karan: Jenny aur main bohat saalo se ek doosre ke dost hai...It's just very fortunate ki mujhe phir se mauqa mil raha hai Jenny ke saath kaam karne ka! Kyunki I really missed working with her...and it's just a very nice feeling working with a very close friend!
Jenny: Chaar saal baad hum ek doosre ke saath phir se kaam kar rahe hai...

Jenny: After four long years! Lekin abhi bhi matlab wohi ek jo hamaari chemistry hai, jo comfort level hai, it's still the same and it's so surprising ki kahin kuch alag nahin lag raha hai ya kahin kuch uncomfortable nahin hai.

Karan: Main Sukirti ko abhi kaafi miss kar raha hoon actually... because itne time se woh Riddhima ka character play kar rahi thi and she's become a part of the family. And you know we're very close friends now. It's a very unfortunate situation and a fortunate situation together ki Sukirti ab show mein nahin hai aur unki jagah Jenny aayi hai.

"If the audience accept Jennifer as Dr Ridhimma and are happy then it's not going to affect the show. I am really sad that Sukriti left and at the same time happy that Jennifer has come on the show. So it's a mixed reaction as Jennifer is my closest friend. We have worked together in Kasuati Zindagi Kii."

Aur jab se main aayi hoon is show mein tab se mujhe bhi logo ne bohat pyar diya, matlab ek alag hi audience mili hai mujhe is show ke saath.

Yeh episode 400 episode tak pauncha...aur aage 1000 episode aap keh rahe hai.Toh Kya lagta hai, serial ki USP kya hai?
DMG ek aisa pehla show tha, first of all, StarOne par jisne youth audience ko attract kiya hai aur is serial ki khaasiyat yehi hai ki bohati real bohati light show hai, koi drama nahin hai, rona dhona nahin hai, yehi is show ki USP hai.

Dr Riddhima ka kirdaar karte kitna enjoy karte hai aap?

Here is the duo in an exclusive chit-chat with Telly Buzz on the occasion of Dill Mill Gayye celebrating 400 episodes...

Both of you are part of a show which has crossed the 400 episode mark. How does it feel to share the success?
Karan: Well it has been a beautiful journey so far. And I really, really hope that we as a team do all that it takes to reach the four digit mark, make it like a 1000 episode success. We have been through a lot of ups and downs but now that we have reached the 400th episode, all sad things seem small and trivial, compared to this awesome moment of success. And all the sweat seems worth it!
Jennifer: I feel very fortunate, appreciated and of course, proud. It's genuinely a wonderful feeling to be part of such a loved show.

Do you feel your memory loss sequence is a good twist to the story?
Karan: Yes, I think it's a good one. The audience is looking for a change and this particular phase is loaded with comical elements and so I'm very sure all the viewers will enjoy it.

Which is you memorable episode of DMG?
Karan: The first episode where I got to meet new people and had the excitement of doing a new show surging in me.

People really love the chemistry between you and Jennifer.
Karan: Jennifer has been my good friend since the past five years. So it's only natural that the comfort level turns into great chemistry when we are coupled on-screen.
Jennifer: I thank the viewers for accepting us and for all their affection. I think my friendship with Karan is on a whole different level, because even before one of us would complete a sentence we know what the other person is gonna say and most of the time it's the same thing that we've been thinking all along!

What are the similarities and differences between Dr. Armaan and Karan?
Karan: Both are almost the same. The only difference is that Armaan has grey eyes and I have black.
Jennifer: When the show got launched and I saw Karan on TV, I called him up to say, this is such an easy role for you yaar. Isme acting karne ki zaroorat hi kya hai? (Where do you find the need to 'act' in this role?)

Karan, how does it feel when you have three different women portraying the role of your lover?
Karan: Its fun (Laughs). I got to meet three beautiful girls and have shared a great working experience with them.

Jennifer, you've been in saas-bahu serials, Shakalaka Boom Boom and now in DMG. Which has been your most enjoyable experience?
Jennifer: All the shows have been very different. In Shakalaka I was too young. I don't even remember half the things that happened in that show. Then came the saas-bahu serials and now this. DMG is very breezy, you can say its been easy on me.

You didn't answer me, which is your favorite of all?
Jennifer: I cant say that! They all have helped me grow. Altogether it's been a learning experience.

Will there be a fourth Riddhima?
Jennifer: Nope. There won't be a fourth Riddhima. The viewers will get to enjoy seeing us as a couple for a long time to come (smiles).

Karan Singh ki aap personality dekh sakte hai. Mujhe lagta hai ke shayad chote parde par aisi personality vala koi nahin hoga. Chote parde ke aapko Salman kahe?
Woh aapko marzi hai aap kya kehna chahe mujhe. Lekin it's just a lot of hard work aur kaafi discipline hai aur that's it.

Aapka show, DMG...3 Riddhima aa gayi... Zaahir si baat hai aap ke liye kaafi badiya experience hoga?

Toh yeh kaisa experience raha?
Kaafi acha experience actually. Kaafi unexpected tha jab Shilpa gayi thi kyunki by the end of it hum kaafi ache dost ban gaye the aur jo audience thi unko bhi hamaari chemistry kaafi achi lagti thi. Uske baad Sukirti aayi, she was the youngest one of us... Sabse choti family member thi hamaari. And she was the most bubbly, sab se zyada energy thi un mein, mujhse bhi zyada! Idhar se udhar khudh thi rehti thi hamesha. Toh when she left also it was sad. But it ended on a happy note because Jennifer meri bohat purani dost hai, bohat achi purani dost hai, and when she came to join us main kaafi khush hua tha ke mujhe phir se uske saath kaam karne ka mauqa mil raha hai.

Jhalak Dikhla Jaa ka kitna bada yogdaan hai jo aap Bollywood mein entry kar rahe hai?
Jhalak ka yehi yogdaan hai ke mujhe dance rehearsal ke grueling times sikha diya. Jitna time mujhe lagta tha dance karne mein, usse thoda kam lagega. I got used to rehearsing a lot and working day/night so that will always help.

Bollywood se kitna hope hai?
Main is baat mein yakeen karta hoon ki aap jo bhi kare... Chaahe aap actor ho, writer ho, bank mein kaam karte ho, airlines mein ho...Jo bhi kaam kare, us mein apna poora dil lagaaye. If you listen to your heart and do everything with all your heart in it, you'll always be successful. Mere jitne bhi project aayenge, maine jitna mehnat is mein daali hai us mein bhi daalonga, and I hope it works out.

Karan: No um precautions jo hum lete hai woh aapko Jennifer bataayegi
Jenny: *laughs* Subah mujhe kuch bola tha ki swine flu se bachne ke liye kuch precautionary steps lene chahiye woh kya hai.. please mujhe share kiya, apne fans ke saath bhi share karo
Karan: Dekhiye precautions toh humne jo aaj set pe dekha hai, kaafi log apne naak aur muhn pe kapda band ke ghoom rahe hai aur mask lagaa ke ghoom rahe hai, thaaki jo virus hai unke andar na aaye
Jenny: Mere khayal se jo humein bohat messages aa rahe hai ke yeh kariye woh kariye toh pehli baat toh woh jo mask hai..koi bhi kapda mask nahin hota..usse koi farq nahin parta hai..use proper masks, jo is bemaari ke liye banne hai, woh use ki jiye..aur avoid going to public places, theatres...aur mere khayal se humne yeh bhi suna hai ki drink lots of warm water & keep ur body warm, toh yeh filhaal kuch mere dimaag mein aa raha hai
