Shekhar upto now is an unwilling party in the game set up by his father. He hated his father's idea, he loved his wife too much and felt obligated to his mother. Now another problem arose, somehow or somewhere he has started liking Laali, inspite of everything hence his anger towards himself...aaj ki do baate...
1) Shekhar is disgusted with himself for mistaking Laali as Siddeshwari, inpite of his drunk self he realises his mistake and runs out of the room, blaming his present condition to his father....of course his father is to be blamed no doubt for Shekhar is feeling suffocated in the whole arrangement and want to break free but break free from what, his wife does not support him, does he want to break free from the shackles and lead his own life, of course we are many here are like him, bound to the family in one way or the other, doing things to please others and maintain peace in the family, Shekhar should see his mother and realise how to adjust, that woman's condition is worse than Shekhar if not Laali, she has everything inspite of that she does not have her own 'astitwa'. He should realise unless he becomes a sanyasi his life will always be bound to something or someone or the other.
2) Shekhar performs is own shrad after which he is reborn as in hinduism the soul cannot die, but changes the body only, now that Shekhar is reborn will we see any changes in his behaviour towards Laali? He has already given him his towel asking her not to stare at him (I loved the way he said it, tukur tukur na dekh) should we see now what we are wanting to see all these days?
Jate Jate, Laali is wanting to bring back Sid back to Shekhar's room, no noway I want that now for a change I want Shekhar to call the shorts, he should maybe not directly but indirectly show his preference towards Laali...
Last but not the least, Go Laali go, I loved the way she downsized Gangiya, bahut bar gayi thi, kuch size me lana tha usse and Laali has hit in the place where it hurts her most, now gangiya will realise what Laali is made of and hopefully she will have enough brains to leave Jamuni alone...your thought friends, love Tin
