DOTW: Marriage

Hey guys,

I am posting the DOTW this week, my topic is marriage.

Which one holds more importance in your eyes love or arranged marriage and why? This is an important topic shown in a majority of soaps, like with Bandini, Santo is married to DM but it was an arranged marriage, in which Santo was bound through no or little choice of her own, but Khemi and Hiten love each other and want to be together which marriage should hold more importance in life? When answering questions forgot the relationships held by these characters, even thought these relationship are a reason for trouble.

Marriage is an important part of life, it's a big thing being someone's wife/husband and these bonds are meant to be scared, whether it is love or arranged. Love has become a factor these days in marriage yet arranged marriages do occur and sometimes forced marriages therefore should a person be forced to uphold a bond they did not want to be part of?

Just a note to remember both types of marriage hold an uncertainty of whether they will work or not, so the answer should not be framed on whether the marriage will work or not but on which one is more important? And should people be forced to uphold a bond they do not agree with?

Please refrain from bashing as everyone is entitled to have their view heard and respected by everyone whether you agree or not.

i do believe arrange marriage is a grate idea because i don't believe dating before marriage. but i also believe that whichever reason you fell in love or find someone attractive then you should have the right to marry them.
Love do come after marriage but it can also came before marriage if you know the person you can feel in love with their personality.
parents should give their children choice on their like and dislike because end of it is their life, they will have to live with each other for rest of their life, they will have to bring up their children together. if their is no love and respect between the parents then there will be lots of difficulties in the house. Also it is GOD given right that man and women get too choose who they want to marry. They can't be forced. Its their right.
parents and family name should be taken into consideration but that shouldn't be just it, the people who are getting married to each other their liking and disliking is more important. Its not fare on the person getting married to someone when they want to be with someone else.

I fell really sorry for Hiten and Kehmi. I think they would have a grate married life together. There character balances each other out.
