Salman: 'Young stars are pretentious'

Salman Khan has criticised younger actors for being dishonest about their lifestyles.

He has compared them unfavourably to the older generation of Bollywood stars, such as Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt.

The Partner actor said: "The younger generation should learn from these 'cool' guys who are not pretentious. They are frank and openly talk about the mistakes they made in the past.

"They don't fake when they say, 'This was our life - this is what we used to do - drugs, alcohol, women, today we have left all that and learnt from our mistakes and experiences'. I have a lot of respect for these guys."

Recently, Khan had a dance-off with rising star Shahid Kapoor on his chat show Dus Ka Dum, asking the audience whether he was the better dancer.

This article is confusing. I cant believe that Salman would forgive any of his "guy" enemies. Someone on Shahid's forum said that this article is misleading cuz on the show, Salman danced on a Shahid song and asked the audience if he danced better than Shahid.

So is Shahid coming on the show? Or was Salman just taking digs at him?

I think the latter is probably true...😆

When Sanjay and Shahid worked together on VLHTA, Shahid kept to himself and didnt really try to make friends with Sanjay. He's reserved like that, but Sanjay took that as Shahid's arrogance. So there was kind of a cold war between them, but after a couple of years they sorted everything out. They're cool now. Shahid even went to his last wedding anniversary party😊.

Salman has a grudge against both Shahid and John since Rockstar days. I don't know about the John story, but while rehearsing for the concert, Salman couldnt get a step right so Shahid showed him how to do it. Salman thought he was disrespecting his seniority but showing him a dance step... So hence, the cold war. I don't think Shahid cares about this cold war with Salman, but apparently Salman does.😕
