So yes, I watched THE movie. I got to the theater like 15 minutes early, cuz I didn't wanna miss anything. I was all decked up, cuz duh I was gonna meet Charlie! Then I took pictures with the Kaminey poster, specifically Charlie's posterđł
I was grinning huge when I walked in, heck I had the biggest smile on my face even during MAMK's promo. Why was I smiling during MAMK's promo? That movie looks stupid, cuz again Kaminey was gonna start any minute...I got crazier by the time Wake Up Sid's promo started.
There is no surprise to it that I LOVED the movie. Like a lot. So I'm gonna start with the actors.
Amole Gupte- The guy who technically directed Taare Zameen Parđ. Anyways, I think he should just quit everything and start acting. He was so good as Bhope Bhau. A 'pakka' Maharashtrian, who wouldnt want his little sister to marry a guy from UP's origin. Who is into politics, but is a gangster at the same time. He practically sold his sister to that builder's son, too selfish basically. He is a big kamina, but OMG he's so funny! From the scene he entered where he yelled at that little boy, then the "teri ayi ke saath lagan kara doon uska?", "to totla hai?", "Fell Phone?", that one mirchi joke, his carefree attitude, to his look...everything was perfect. He was a total Maharashtrian, but then he would lie on Tv to say that he is in India first. Amole was superb as Bhope Bhau Bhau Bhau Bhauuuuđ.
Mikhail- AH! One of my favorites. His role wasn't that long, but it was so powerful and effective. His chemistry with his brother and Charlie was amazing. I loved it when Charlie and Mikhail go "kaisa hai tu?". He would even talk to Charlie in the Charlie lingo đ. Charlie-Shahid chemistry was too good when Mikhail was sniffing cocaine and asking Charlie how he landed upon the treasure. He was very good in Dhan Tana too. His last scene was my favorite! The way he raced and cheated with Charlie and then the way he was fearless with Bhope. The "bhope tope bhope tope" part was howlarious, even though he wasn't in his senses, he still was smart enough to hide the "stuff" from Bhope and gang. I loved the way he acted so fearless when Bhope pulled out his gun!đ Mikhail is too funny, he still kept playing around with Bhope. His ending was sad though. Chandan Roy Sanyal aka Shonamuni is a terrific actor.
Sweety- When Shahid said that PC has given her career's best performance in Kaminey, I thought he was just being nice or was saying that cuz of the movie. But, he was right, I thought that a small role wouldnt beat Fashion, but it def did. Someone here thought that Sweety stammered because she was playing around with Guddu or cuz she was making fun of him. No, she did that because she knew Guddu would never open up to her, if she didn't fake it. PC acted so calmly when she told Guddu about the pregnancy and then when he was all confused, she blasted him real wellđ. "Suhaag raat 2009 mein aur shaadi 2014 mein?", "lagta hain mein tumhe 2 mahino se nahin 2 janamo se jaanta hoon", "mein home science ki topper hoon", "humare beech koi teesra aye mujhe bilkul pasand nahi." She would yell at him and then run towards him the next second, cuz her world surrounds around him, aww. PC's mashaal scene where she protecting Guddu was so fierce. Very emotional, cuz her people were attacking her groom and very funny at the same time cuz the dulhan was protecting the dulhađ. When they fought at the gas station, she expressed very well when she said, "I'll kill you" in marathi. The scene where she barged into the police station was again PC's too fierce and emotional (at the same time). I love how she always protected her husband. I think someone mention here that Sweety is like Geet, and thats so not true. They both talk a lot, but Sweety is quite the man. Geet ran away after getting rejected by Anushman, but here Sweety loved and fought with Gudduđł.
Shahid as Charlie/Guddu-The man of the show. I'm very biased but the audience clapped a lot during Shahid scenes. They would anyways, since he's the protagonist. I'm gonna start with Guddu. He's careful, he has his life planned out, he loves his girlfriend, but then he is scared of her toođ. He was so adorable in Fatak! The 'fatak' dance step was too cuteđł. "Mujhe koi lena dena nahi hai is murder se", "matlab? matlab? matlab?"đ, "shaadi aaj aaaaa--aaa--th baje?", "mere kama sutra condoms kaha hain", "ek baar phir dhoondlo?" "I love Bombay." Ah, I could go on and on and on about Guddu. He made me cry with the Sabiha storyđ, "I was in love with her." Aww. Sabiha is such a biatch to mess with GudduđĄđ. Then when he felt that Sweety was playing with his emotions too, and was quite mean to her-- that was my favorite Guddu scene. Shahid always said that playing Guddu was harder because of the stammering. I actually felt sad when Shahid was stammering, I wasn't laughing. But, I have to admit that singing with Lobo-Lele was SOO FUNNY! "Woh kutta, woh kamina, kare woh, bharu mein..." That scene was too gripping, I was literally staring at the screen with my widely open eyes. I felt so bad, whenever he started stammering due to nervousness or sadnessđ. Shahid was epic as Guddu. The perfect cute and careful lover boy. Aditya Kashyap was reserved, but Guddu was careful. The two can be mixed up togethe, but there is a lot difference between the two characters (besides the obvious stammer). Shahid drew a fine line between the two characters and acter p-p-ppp-errr-fectly as Guddu.
Coming to my favorite, CHARLIE SHARMA! His voice, his hair, he gunda-pan, his eyes, his wounds, the way he said "faala", his stubble, the way he sang "spiderman...spiderman.." and the way he played the guitarđł. Can I act like a total fangirl now?!đ
CHARLIE, I LOVE YOU!!đ Shahid was a totally different guy as Charlie, too aggressive, playful, manipulative, competitive, sexy, manly, fearless and selfish. I actually thought that Guddu and Charlie were twins and not Shahid Kapur. The lisp was perfect, his Fofia, his 1+1 = 4, faware faware uff manoof ki fakal dekh li toh shaam tak mayat pake famjo!, MANHOOF!đđ I loved the "go charlie go" theme music, basically I wanted Charlie to win every fight, battler, war, competition..ANYTHING. Shahid as Charlie was magic onscreen. The way Vishal shows Charlie's competitiveness by showing his dream and him running with horses was very intelligent. I think I've written a lot, so I'll calm down on my fangirlnessđ.
Vishal gets a special message, cuz the film is his brain/mind. His everything, he made it, he deserves all the applause and recognition. Man is a total genius! What an intelligent film, the entire movie was like a roller coaster ride!đđ I was too excited about all the wars/fights/deathsđ. Cinematography was excellent, the songs were used perfectly. I'm a bit upset cuz PBM wasnt used, but oh well. The way Vishal executes his movie is awesome, he makes the audience visualize everything. No spoonfeeding at all.
I thought I was gonna be whistling when Shahid-Priyanka kiss, but I actually didn't. I sat calmly and watched the scene. Why? Cuz it was too intense for my craziness. As in, I never expected it to be this real. They didnt really make love, just rolled around the bed. But the way, they talked to each other and they way they kissed was SOO FREAKING HOT! Guddu was trying soo hard to find his condom, but then he gave in twice to Sweety's seductionđ. They were soo close, the nose rubbing, ahhh it was hot!!đłđłđł
"I love Bombay, Chennai, Kolkatta, Bangalore" and thenâşď¸. That kiss was too hot, sexy, romantic, beautiful. PERFECT!
And....I cant type anymore.....đ
